My hand to join your healing circle Mar

Thanks for the tissue tips. Will be getting balm tissues into my winter store
Chemist direct arrived already, quicker than me going to buy the stuff. Very pleased
Fuddle go by your intuition, we all have it
Thanks for that link. He is in broad agreement with my friend in America who says the same about the Jet stream...he says another storm is going to hit the coast of America on Thanksgiving...and that the Jet stream will cause lots of problems for them this winter.
Tooth is still broken and can't get an appointment till next week...I did however get the car booked for a major service and got the builder to come to mend the earth tremor damage on our balcony...you can't have everything you want, this is Greece lol
Just cooking some home made gluten free bread. Had to put it on the soft setting on the machine so I can eat it with my broken tooth. Eating chocolate by letting it melt in my mouth lol its driving my other half crazy..he is crunching his, which is driving me crazy.
Went to pick up some milk at Lidl and the queues were enormous and no discounted food to be found anywhere...glad I do my main shop on Thursdays now when its quiet. There are always lots of bargains to be had, usually with 30 percent off them. I noticed the Christmas things were in but I honestly don't know whether to bother. Its a very quiet Christmas here and I am aware that most of my neighbours will find it hard to pay their bills and have enough to eat this year.“The superior man, when resting in safety, does not forget that danger may come. When in a state of security he does not forget the possibility of ruin.” Confucius (551 BC - 479 BC):A0 -
We have a new house
It will be complete in 2 weeks and we'll move in 2 weeks later. DH will take the girls to their normal school so they can be part of the Christmas fun then they will move in January. I have school transfer forms.
We're doubtful that we will sign up to the rent to buy scheme as it's not my forever home, although I'm 100% sure about the move as it's my forever location.
LL doesn't know yet but DH will be calling to give him the news tonight and i'll be doing it in writing tomorrow. I've had neighbours from both sides telling me that they're getting rats in their gardens and they're coming out of the decking in my garden. £40 to get the council out. Anyone else think it's not for us to sort out? I need all the money we have at the minute as we need a shed (no garage at new house) and need to pay for a removal van.
So! it's all go, it's a very exciting if not a bit worrying (change) and a nice new, small (cheaper to run!) house without damp to look forward to for christmas. I remember a few weeks back crying because it looked like LL was turfing us out on top of christmas and here I am doing it to myself!0 -
Oh WOW...excellent news Fuddle and I'm sure you and yours will be very happy. As you say, how quickly times change!
As for the rats, I reckon that's for someone else (landlord) to sort out, not you.
Time for you to celebrate :beer:Normal people worry me.0 -
Brilliant news fuddle, and no, its not for you to sort the rats out.Spend less now, work less later.0

FUDDLE WOOHOO YIPPEEEEE CONGRATULATIONS - I am so so so happy for you, well done little one you have just taken the first step towards your new bright shiny future!!!!!!!!! Brilliant pet, bloomin brilliant!!! Love Lyn xxxxx.
Leave him the rats as his new tenants!!!!
Try asking on freecycle for a shed, speople sometimes upgrade and would be glad to let you have the old one as it saves them having to dispose of it, might be worth considering? L x.0 -
Oh Fuddle I am so pleased for you - I hope it will be a very happy home for you and your family. I am sure the girls will settle in well. How busy are you going to be planning the house, then the garden for spring!!!!
As for the rats - tell the landlord, the garden is his responsibility - the £40 will go a fair way into sorting out things for your new home!!!Every days a School day!0 -

Yay Fuddle - a new home for Christmas, how exciting!
As for the rat problem, some bait under the decking will do the job for now. It's not going to be your problem soon."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

What great news fuddle. I am so happy for you and your family. I know I shouldn't be so mean, but I hope your landlord has a wake up call when he tries letting it again and can't get any new tenants because of the damp. Personally I would be putting in the call to Enviromental Health about it now you are leaving, just to stop anyone else having to.
Moan alert.....I am so fed up with DH. He is a pain in the whatsit and I'm not the only one noticing. He wants to do nothing when he is home and is treating me like I'm a nagging fishwife because I want to go out the house and do things. I know that he has been at work all week and I do appreciate how hard he works for us, but if he knows that he is going to have a hard day ahead of him, he needs to come to bed before 2am. We have gone into town and it was like dragging a zombie around. Even DS2 commented on it. I now need to go back into town next week to get the SAD herbal stuff from Holland and Barratt.
I am feeling carp at the moment and him making me feel guilty about wanting him out of bed before 3pm isn't helping at all.
I think it is time for a cuppa and then I need to cook dinner for 13.
Sorry about moaning.
Take care xxxx0
