Oh Sheila, you would hate it at our house!

Only one brew a day, unless we have a meal that needs tea (boiled eggs and soldiers comes to mind), and then only in winter :rotfl:.

OH has a coffee at breakfast time, and sometimes another mid morning, then that's it till 3!

A box of teabags lasts ages here!

    :eek::eek::eek:
I need around a pint of coffee before 9am just to function..:o

I know, I'm odd! Part camel probably! But I do love tea... just not a lot of it!

Kez, DS is more than welcome here for an hour or so. Don't tie yourself up in knots about it. I know you're as funny as I am about strangers looking after your LO but the offer is there if you need to take it up but I won't be offended at the same time, its about DS being comfortable as well. I'm here if you need me to be :)

hi, lots of chat again!!! Well ive had 3 cups of tea so far on my well earned day off. We have the repairman here all day doing a power flush of the central heating. It hasn't worked properly since early march. It needs a new heat exchanger too, but luckily as we are renting from the council we get no big bills.

Fuddle, im with you on the washing machine side of things. Ours is making the most horrible noises, it sounds all cluncky on spin and OH has said he thinks its about had it. I would get some new bearings, but my OH is not mechanically minds on that sort of things. If its a car or motorbike, well that's a different matter.

Kez ive never had chicken pox, kids did as little ones but I seemed to have missed it. I hope I don't get shingles as ive heard they can be very nasty.

Today I will be doing my shopping list ready for tomorrow when I go with my mum to aldi, we usually share the voucher. Well I hope its in again this month. They usually do it the last Thursday in the month.

Well must empty the noisy washing machine, only another 2 to go!!!

Take care everyone, and enjoy those cuppa's!!

    Oh thanks everyone :)

Aw I didn't come back on earlier fuddle, I was all over the place, both boys were off school. I would have been fine and, comfortable with leaving him with you. As, you are, such a lovely person and ds2 would love telling you stories :)

luckily my dad came to the rescue, made him and ds1 bacon sarnies and, jumped in the taxi.the service was really good and was more about my friend than religion.

I know lynn thats what really annoying, kept going on about shingles. I mean ds2 has suspected measles, totally different. Ignorant lazy gits.

While I was they I said my condolences to the family and was surprised her dad remembered me. Even more shocked when he have me a hug. Then got told off by friends mum for not doing the kids passports. She have me the same look her daughter used to when I annoyed her.

I'm just glad I'm homeand back with my boys.
  • NUTTY if you haven't had chicken pox, you can't get shingles. The virus stays in the nerves if you have had chicken pox and can be reactivated when you are an adult if you come into contact with the live herpes virus. Adults CAN however still catch chicken pox and have a sorry time of it if they do, so it looks like you have some natural immunity.

Hope your neighbours are lovely FUDDLE and that you get along like anything, would be nice for you both. They won't think you're anything but sensible for who you are and how you see life, you can educate them in OS ways petal!!!!!

KEZ glad you made the funeral, and what a lovely Dad to hold the fort for the boys while you were there, glad you got a hug from your friends Dad too, makes it a bit less sad when folks are kind doesn't it?

Have a good afternoon everyone, off to plant out some more shivering plantlets in the cold garden, MAR don't send us any snow my babies will curl thier leaves up and give in!!!!! Cheers Lyn xxx

I seem to be having 'one of those weeks',not days, this week.Been running round like a loony and got hardly anything done between fielding endless phonecalls, making calls, answering the flamin' door and sorting my brood out.Ah well the dusting will have to wait for yet another day I'm gutted about that,no,really I am :D

MRSL thankyou, I didn't realise you couldn't get shingles if you hadn't had chicken pox. I had measles and I also had mumps as a child.
Kezlou, glad you found the funeral ok, they can be quite draining at times. Its nice that they remembered you too.

I got the first load of washing done, and then the machine packed up. It can empty and fill but doesn't move at all. It went with a very loud bang so for safety's sake I unplugged it and then managed to open the door and retrieve the towels inside. All soaking wet tho, and smelly!! Just been into town with eldest DD and had to get a new one. I put it on the dreaded CC, so it will need paying on the next payday. Why is it always so, you think everything is ok and then another thing happens. I ended up in arg0s, as they were the cheapest. I got a voucher for £10, as I spent over £100 so not all bad.

Heating is on as they are still trying to mend the system, hes been here since 9am and we have given him 4 cups of tea.

Well off to try and get ready for a grumpy OH as I need him to install the washing machine.

I haven't ever had anything like measles or mumps or chickenpox - and when I started nursing they put me into the "Infectious Diseases" ward. I held my breath for a week! :D
