I have my eye on some tea tree shampoo and conditioner from home bargains so thanks for the confirmation that it does work.

To be honest with you, after all these weeks of using chemicals on the girls' hair, namely youngest but eldest too, the chemicals didn't achieve anywhere as much as the conditioner method did last night. One very happy mammy. :)

Well, I'm out of my negativity and have 3 application forms on the way for further teaching assistant jobs. I am qualified and have experience in level 3 TA (learning support in my day) but with being out of schools for so long my old boss said to try for level 2 positions and 'knock their socks off' so thats what I'm doing.

Time for lunch... Cheese salad sandwich and then out with the dog.

I hate dealing with authority. I tidied as much as I could but my bins are full until Friday but whatever I could do to make the house tidy I did. The landing, hall, dining room, toilet and bedrooms sorted. I shoved some stuff into the bathroom and the kitchen for quickness.

The Housing Association insisted on looking around and decided to take photo's of the untidy rooms and are coming back. They say it is not to threaten me with eviction but more whether I need help and can't cope.

I don't believe them when they say it will not be on my records. Within an hour of them leaving the kitchen is tidy and I am already sorting the bathroom. I told them I was going through rubbish. And it would be quickly seen to.

Another unexpected person called and I showed her what they were going on about and she thought they were over reacting and she calls here every few months and knows how tidy this place usually is.

    Always something to worry about.

Didn't want to read & run - just want to say I'm sure it will be fine Popperwell. Take small steps to sort out/ put out rubbish a bit at a time, as bins allow.
Do some things to take your mind away from it.

Hi Popperwell, I lurk on here more than post these days but I have a friend wh has disabilities and she was very untidy/cluttered and someone came round to declutter hers, so probably the same thing. Not saying you are untidy/cluttered but that they probably have that provision available. Don't worry and you don't have to accept the help if you don't want.

Seem odd that the council took photographs of your cluttered rooms ?.....

I dont know whether you and anyone else on here have been watching, "The Hoarders."....There are householders on that prog will real hoarding issues, they ended up have help from a physcologist doctor , took the doctor 6 weeks to cure them...Took them just as long to clear their houses out..........

Thankfully ive never had that problem, Ive been the complete opposite, cant handle clutter.......

Weather has been quite nice again, things are now starting to grow well in the garden at long last.......Id say at least 3 weeks behind......

Ive got to take hubby for another hospital appointment tomorrow, its an early one so hopefully should be able to get somewhere to park.......
Thank god the nights are lighter and the mornings too, but we are half way through this year already........Sheila...

    Thanks all,
Not a hoarder, the reverse is true...ornaments and pictures mean more dusting/cleaning and clutter. This is real rubbish and sorting of documents. I only stopped tidying because I had to be ready for the visit. Otherwise I would have continued.

Will just have to see how things go...

    I'm with you ;) thank you :D

How peculiar pops but I'm sure nothing to worry about.

I was watching hoarders 2am this morning Sheila. It fascinates me. I can't get myself into that psychy (the piles of stuff) but I can understand filling voids and emotionally charged behaviour. That psychologist was super, and very expensive being from the priory but what I liked to see was when she sold some if her 'rubbish' for £200. You could see the light switch flick and her behaviour change in thy instant.

Myself? Hate stuff. Don't get me wrong, I like to have new things, clothes, vase, cooking pot etc but everything has to be in it's place although I can't always promise being dusted!

Pops - I wonder if they are assessing whether you may be needing a different type of property or if your illnesses mean you cant manage and may need some help weekly, I wouldnt worry too much - in private rentals its not what the house looks like during the tenancy but what it looks like at the end that counts.

I have to say your area seems to have huge amounts of staff to spare in housing, here I know many people who have been waiting over a year to have a visit just to discuss maintenance

Still no firm news but OH has a meeting tomorrow so I assume he will find out then.
