Haven't replied yet? Are you expecting miracles? You've only given their ISA team 16 days!
I'm going to try an internet message. That took 10 days last time I seem to remember.0 -
I know it's expecting a lot!
I think I might ring the Complaints Management Team tomorrow and see what they have to say. I will also complain about the lack of reply or acknowledgement.
My original complaint stated how dissapointed I was about being misinfomred on multiple occasions by branch and telephone staff regarding the backdating of interest, and the amount of time they took to open the account. I might have to start a list of stuff to complain about.
Shame the rate is so good, or I'd go elswhere!0 -
I got a reply in 3 days via the web site! Basically they said, since email isn't secure you need to phone us. I think I'll write! Any reply for you ctm?0

I can't take this anymore.....
I originally requested my abbey ISA to be transferred to Halifax. I closed the halifax account and cancelled the transfer but Halifax processed it anyway.
I then phoned up abbey on FOUR separate occasions requesting they absolutely do not process the transfer - on each occasion i was assured a note had been put on the account and the transfer would not be processed.
Today i got a letter saying my abbey isa had been closed and the money (nearly £10k) had been transferred to halifax - but there is no account at halifax!!!
I called abbey and they said they couldn't guarantee cancellations on transfers - despite the fact I HAD been guaranteed it would be cancelled..... FOUR TIMES!!!!
So where is my money? What will happen to it?
Abbey tell me it'll bounce back to them and they will re-open the account and it should all be fine and i don't do anything.
I'd really appreciate some advice on what to do about this though, just in case.....
A fed-up, sick-to-death of abbey Dave20120 -

No reply, or even an acknowledgement to my letter yet. It was sent on the 11th of June.
I rang the complaints management team yesterday who explained that they are the next step uf if a complaint can't be resolved by the appropriate department. However they did say that I should have at least had an acknowledgement. They said I should ring the ISA dept and speak to their customer relations team to find out what is going on.
So I rang them today and spoke to a bloke in the call centre who tried for 5 minutes to put me through to them with no luck. So i'm going to write again, but cc it all to head office as well0 -

i'm writing a complaint about my whole experience with Abbey, from the month and half delay to complete lack of correspondence to this transfer mess - good idea to CC both to head office and ISA people.
You have any thoughts on my last post?
Cheers0 -
I called the ISA department again yesterday and asked to be put through to the Customer relations Team again.
I was told by the lady on the end of the phone that 'they don't accept calls'. After trying to get her to put me through for another 5 minutes with no luck, she just refused I spoke to her supervisor who went away and talked to the Customer relations/complaints team. Gues what the say they have never received my letter.
How terribly convenient that it has gone missing.
So another one is being sent with a further complaint about the lack of customer service, and the fact that the customer relations people are not contactable by telephone, which is quite frankly a stupid situation.0 -
Hi, my cousin who lives in America is having great difficulty in finding Abby National. His mum has just passed away in uk (my aunt) and she has some Abby National shares, all he can find out is that some Spanish company own Abby National, he has power of attorney but they have never told him of this, and he cannot find out where they are and what the share prices are, can anyone help us please, thank you, oap0

They were taken over by Spain's biggest bank, BSCH, or Banco Santander Central Hispano. I found this link, it might give you a start: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/3925489.stm0

Many thanks, investigating, oap0
