No Buying Unnecessary toiletries in November

Hello all, this is my first time posting on this thread but I think it's time I stepped up and joined in! Hoping seeing everything written down will help me to resist buying things - I nearly bought some Ojon on offer yesterday but stopped myself after thinking I'd have to add it to my list! Need to get this list down as the more I buy the more money I'm wasting with all this sat in the cupboard
So here goes, am not including make up as I dont really have a problem with that and dont own/wear a lot, same for nail polish. But am including bits I've bought for the girls as it doesnt all fit in the box now so must stop and use it all up! And am not including the mini bits in my going away bag either! Currently being used things are in red and UU are in bold, things I desperately want to UU have a *. I did sign up to a few beauty boxes (currently on my last SSB and will continue with Amarya) as there lots of sample sized bits that I'm going to try and focus on and get the total number down lots by december!

I think about the only thing I might need this month is toothpaste, new heads for my tooth brush or mouthwash, tooth cleaning stuff just isn't exciting enough to keep buying more.
I UU a tube of hydraluron this morning. Was very disappointed with it, it was meant to boost moisture but it made my skin drier. WNBA.
have you considered putting all those emails in a separate folder, and making it so that all future emails go to that folder? That way if you do want to look at them you can, but if you dont, then they are separate from your normal emails. i've separated ALL my emails and it has helped my spending sooo much!May Grocery Challenge : 64.81 so far

Quick question if I may ...... how do you count things like face cleaning cloths / wipes etc?
I have several packs of 30 / 20 + ones in use so have counted each individually .... not sure if this is right tho or if you'd just count the full packs?
TIA - a bit bowled over by my total atm- def need this challenge!
I just see things on offer any buy more ......Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I would count each packet once, rather than each wipe (if that's what you mean), especially if you are getting overwhelmed. To be honest it really is whatever works for you. As long as you are helping reduce your stash in some way or anotherHTH
I've done this challenge a couple of months back and it really did help me. It made me ask 'do i really need this?'. And just think the offers will be on again, so by the time you have used up what you have the offer will be back on.May Grocery Challenge : 64.81 so far

Thank you HappyTorty - think I will amend and count each pack ..... feeling a bit (well a lot really!) overwhelmed with nearly 500 items!
Since there's around 200 + items on the face wipe / cloth lists that makes it a bit more copeable with!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I have a Laura Geller ethereal rose blush like that. I also like Benefit Dandelion which I don't own any more. Only had a small sized in the Powder Pop compact released some years ago. MrM's cousin's daughter (does that make her second cousin?) has an interview with Benefit next week. Here's hoping she gets it.evilsquid1603 wrote: »yup, its pink. its a very reddy pink - almost like they've scrimped a bit too much on the red colouring to save money when it was made!
when its on, it looks red but its certainly not a pillar box red and it does retain its pinkish tinge
A really good pillar box red is Nails Inc Victoria and Albert (I got this free with a mag some years ago). Maybelline Cherry is a good dupe of this too.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I found Glamour with the blue polish today, but not the red.
We are staying in the south lakes, Staveley, between Kendal and Windermere, a tiny cottage on a farm, it looks to be a bit in the wilds, so hoping no snow:eek: We have had loads of walking holidays in the Lakes, but will be car tours for me and perhaps sitting in the car and reading while OH and the real MM go for walks. Hoping that the Autumn colours will be good.
I hope you have enjoyed your week off, it seems to have passed very quickly:(
Ruby_Eskimo, have a great holiday, I would like to visit Budapest sometime.
I love Kendal. We usually either stay there are in Carnforth at the top of the lakes. If you are buying food on the way down there is a lovely place called Greenlands Village at Tewitt Lock (just past Carnforth) that sells home produced sausages and burgers. The cafe there is called Wellies and they serve this food there also. Greenlands Village itself encompasses a farm which is a lovely place to take children as it's very hands on being able to feed and pet the animals. There's also a pottery barn, garden centre and wine shop there although the wine is pretty expensive. Enjoy your break. My week off was good thanks. Am glad I've had a week of rest really as work is going to be pretty busy when I get back. One of the Solicitors left on Friday and isn't being replaced so we are absorbing her workload.rising_from_the_ashes wrote: »Quick question if I may ...... how do you count things like face cleaning cloths / wipes etc?

You should count them as full packs so when you finish a pack this counts as a UU.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Haven't counted mine in a while but there's definitely over 100. I don't know what it is with me that makes me want them so much but each time a new Season rolls around I look at them and think I don't like them then I see them in the shops or on QVC and feel I need them. I then con myself into thinking I don't have similar colours! When we were in JL on Thursday I showed MrM the OPI top ten kit of minis that I would really like. Unfortunately Emma was with us and piped up that I own some of them (reciting the ones I do already own) and saying that I have similar colours to the rest. In all honesty I would really like to have Tickle my Francey which is in there but there's something about owning all those minis that does it for me. Maybe it seems like a selection box??
I do have my first UU to report and a couple of INs:-
3ml Elemis Time Defence Wrinkle Delay. I used this from MrM's mini stash (made up of samples he's received from timetospa). It's ok I think there are 2 more of these I can use until I can order my LE (waiting for pay day).
Yesterday I bought a can of Batiste as the one in use needs a good shake before it sprays so is spluttering and some steeping tablets to hopefully clean my nails once I've removed this blue lacquer.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge.
