Here is link to St James on QVC and it's described as pillar box red. Must admit that I've seen a lot of these on the Glamour mags and they have all looked very red to me.

If you have a real love for red don't look at the Very Berry Collection. I have had to close the site down on my PC x

I'm so pleased I mentioned Give and Make Up again, I was worried you might think I was preaching. Huge thanks to those giving. There is a link on the Give and Make Up page to sign a petition - 'Speak Up, Save A Life' - so even if you don't feel you can donate, perhaps you could click and sign so that the issue of setting up a minimum number of independent domestic violence advisers for the UK can be debated in Parliament. If you have blogs, perhaps a link??

Back on topic. A UU that has been in the stash for months. Nivea Pure and Natural Body Lotion. WIBA? No, lovely ingredients, pleasant smell but it feels sticky when I apply it and takes ages to rub in. This brand was a product I blind tested some 18 months ago, but not knowing what it was, I bought it when it was on introductory offer at Mr T's.
I've been spinning it out rather than throw it, but I'm glad it's gone.

An Avon lotion to replace it, 400ml Nourishing Body Lotion with Cocoa Butter, arrived the other day, but I'm mostly on to body butters and creams for the winter, with the odd squirt of body oil.

Hi All. Thanks sunshineyday for starting us off again. Welcome Newbies, good luck with the challenge.

Have been missing for a few days as half term holidays have been manic.

Had a good month in October for uu but also lots of ins.

Have been shopping today and have in's and also a couple of uu to report.

    UU

Hotel 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner
Champneys Mediterranean Bliss body scrub - 50ml pot

    In

Nails inc glitter polish with Glamour
Liz Earle C&P, IBST, skin repair and botanical body lotion
Liz Earle orange flower body wash
    Liz Earle Nude Eyeshadow
Liz Earle GWP - C&P, IBST, skin repair, hand cream and mini superbalm.
Also a mini orange flower body wash
Lush Snow Fairy - the mini one
    Nails inc Primrose Park
    Benefit Dandelion blush

Had a smell of the new Liz Earle perfume and it is really nice.

I was really pleased that they offer the same deals in the store as they do online. BTW some of the liz earle stuff is for gifts if I can bear to part with it.

I tried the Rimmel BB sachet from Glamour and hated it. It was in shade light which could also be described as Edward Cullenesque. Very greasy and not mattifying as they describe. Hard to blend and my face felt sticky all day. The nivea primer was nice though.

I took advantage of the Elemis halloween offer and bought a couple of bits for presents and got the freebies for myself. When the order came there were no freebies so I rang and they said they had had some problems and would send them out. The freebies have now arrived TWICE  so I now have two full size Lavender repair masks, two mini skin buffs and two mini papaya scrubs. Not complaining though.

    A few UUs:

Ren Hydra-calm day cream 15ml: I bought the sensitive kit from Ren to try some products. WNBA as this wasn't moisturising enough for me. I'd like to try their range for dry skin but they don't do a kit for it.

Melvita Rose Nectar moisturiser 15ml: WMBA, this was nice but it's expensive.

Prestige My Blackest Lashes mascara: WNBA. I didn't like it at first, then it was good as it dried up a bit, then dried up too much! It was alright but L'Oreal Voluminous is my HG.

Arrived in the Lakes safely, lots of snow on the mountain tops. Took a wrong turn in Staveley and came to the cottage (cosy, warm and quite well fitted out) along a single track, walled, with few passing places, gated road!! Glad OH was driving, I hate these type of roads, didn't mind when I had little cars, but don't like it in the bigger car we now share:(

Back on topic shower room really nice so looking forward to a mega pamper session and copious amounts of tea and biscuits while OH goes cycling tomorrow, got tv, internet, books, knitting and the dog for company so looking forward to some me time.

ValM - thanks for the tip about nice food shopping near Carnforth, will have a look on the map for our return.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.:D

  • Well it's a saturday night in, 6 weeks until the house move so no spending money and pampering a go-go.

I have cleansed, moisturised, lotioned, painted my nails with the Nails inc Motcomb Street, given myself a foot massage with a deep conditioning lotion, hand massage with intensive cream.... and nothing is even beginning to sputter damn and blast!!
  • Just got 'home' from my parents in Scottie-Land. Been there since Tuesday so got to finally meet my god child :j .
Anyways me and OH are still at his dad's house as our flat still has a broken bath tap and cooker :mad: demanded rent back from the estate agents as it wasnt on the inventory and we only found out when we came to use them, but they refused saying it was habitable! When you don't have hot water to wash, or a cooker, then how the hell is it habitable?!

Anyways sorry for the rant, the morale of the above story is that I'm living out of a suitcase at his dad's, so cannot count all my toiletries up yet as they are at the 'beloved' flat. Hoping to have a go of it tomorrow if I have time. In the meantime I have set up a spreadsheet so I can keep a proper track of everything.

That's interesting - did you buy from JL or the LE store? Is it still spend £70.00 to get the mini kit there? I had an email yesterday announcing that they are now selling LE in flagship Boots stores.

Sounds lovely - Maddiemay. Have a lovely relaxing, pampering time. Just reading about it is making me want to book a mini break. Eldest DD goes off to secondary school next year so everyone keeps telling me to make the most of the Inset days as they won't be on the same days when they are at different schools. Trying to pin Mr KM down to book something....(it is easier to nail jelly to a wall...)

    Back OT:
An IN and an OUT in one. I was given a sample of the new LE fragrance - Botanical Essence No 15. It is lovely - perfect for the winter months as it has a really cosy fragrance. Am going to steer away from the Q - (determined not to watch at all today) and then treat myself to a bottle next month for Christmas.
