Arrived in the Lakes safely, lots of snow on the mountain tops. Took a wrong turn in Staveley and came to the cottage (cosy, warm and quite well fitted out) along a single track, walled, with few passing places, gated road!! Glad OH was driving, I hate these type of roads, didn't mind when I had little cars, but don't like it in the bigger car we now share:(

Sounds lovely maddiemay - hope you are having a great time unwinding.tokkiandoliver wrote: »Hi everyone -
Sorry for not being around. I had a tragic death in the family and my mind just can't seem to focus on anything else.
Hope everyone has tons of UU's this month, and hopefully I can pop on later when I'm feeling better.
So sorry to hear this tokki - been kind to yourself just now - we will still be here when you want to stop by.
Welcome Tallgirl  You are ahead of the game already with your stash list already done. Good luck with the challenge.
Hugs to Rosemary :grouphug:
I am thinking I am going to GA my last S & G Hand Food. I have been using it for the last week and my hands are not doing well at all. It is not moisturising my hands at all. I am not a fan of this anyway but it is rubbish now that the weather has turned and I need a good hand cream. I tried TBS hemp hand cream today but didn't like it. It felt too greasy for me. I am also not a fan of L'Occitaine either. I think I don't like the shea butter that so many hand cream uses. I have a Jason's hand and body lotion in my stash and will give this a go.
I did managed to get booked up for four nights in between Christmas and New Year - so I am off to Newcastle. Normally I go away to London for Christmas and New Year but I am at home for those days. Quite looking forward to it - Oh the sale shopping :T.No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380 -
Used up:
Garnier masque for treated/damaged hair. Have another under the sink. It does the job.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum (brown bottle)? 7mls. Took forever and I don't know if it really did anything.Know there are a few more in the stash but am in no hurry to get to them. Will try out whatever is grabbed blindly from the box.
Decanted a Neutrogena Shower Gel Rain Fresh something or other into the kitchen soap pump. Tried it in the shower and the scent isn't really me. There's another one in the cupboard (it was on clearance for $1/bottle). I have to stop looking at the clear out rack.
Rosemary, I think we need a Thelma and Louise style trip. I don't know if it's the time of year and life is grey now. I'm so looking forward to getting away at the end of the month. If I could smuggle you in my suitcase to Vegas I would.0 -

Hugs Rosemary, you deserve so much better than this, and Tokki, so sorry to hear of your sad news. Wishing you both strength.
Will post on topic stuff tomorrow.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Over the weekend I UU two 15ml gift with purchase size face creams that had been in my washbags (I have one I use for short trips like a night or two and a larger one for longer trips).
Both were quite good given I'd not chose them for myself.
- Estee Lauder Resilience Lift
- Lancome Reginerie Lift Volumetry
Doesn't look like you can buy the latter now - unless it's been renamed. And the former seems quite expensive, but maybe at 40 am getting to the age my skin needs a bit more help!!!0 -
Tokkiandoliver, I am so sorry about your loss.
Sending you a big hug.

Tokki - poor you.
Have two uu from yesterday
Hotel bath and shower gel, used as shaving gel.
Champneys Meditteranean bliss bubble bath - this was a travel size and was almost impossible to get out of the bottle, the fragrance wasn't my favourite of theirs so wnba. Moving onto a part used Radox bubble bath now.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
Fashion on the Ration 28/660 -
Another 2 UU - sachet samples of a Thalgo scrub. Couldn't tell from the packet if it was meant for face or body but used on my legs. Wouldn't buy as too gentle for body and too coarse for face.0

Hi Everyone,
This is my first ever challenge! I have been enjoying reading the posts here this afternoon and its sound both practical and fun.
I havent counted the items I have to use up - maybe I will brave that next month when hopefully there wont be so many. It is my intention not to make any new purchases until the new year.
Best wishes, getting there slowly:)No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries: July stash 72/0 INS/2 UU/0 TA0 -
