Had a good day on Friday, walked past Boots without going in:j, practically an impossability for me, especially this time of year.
Will have some more in's when I pick up my Avon order later, mainly shampoo and conds.
Ended up with a more than I started with in October so I will be trying a lot harder in November.
I have some eye shadows that I have never used but don't want to get rid of them because they are so pretty! is it just me or does anyone else fall into this?
Happy Monday everyoneDEBT FREE on the 23rd December 2013

I am at home this week since starting a new job next week. This morning I took out my toiletry bag where my lipstick are being stored (I only have 2 in my handbag) and have decided to wear all those lipsticks this week to decide if I want to keep them or not. The first lipstick(Mega plume wet n wild) I tried this morning has now gone in the bin, I didn't like the feeling of wearing it. I am now using Clarins for the rest of the day.No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j0 -
hello ladies, thank you for all the hugs they mean a lot.this has been my annus horribilis(or something like that your majesty!)
OH says I just need to be patient and trust him and things will be okay....well yes hello dear its been 5 months now and tho he thinks things are improving they are not for me:mad:he still refuses to go to relate and says there is no point as another person will only agree with him that it is my fault we have problems!!!
my trouble is I get too emotional whilst he seems to have had his emotion chip removed.
my no spend november is a disaster with the LIB advent box,the bercosse wowcher box and some perfume from Debs as they had an extra point and free mini mascara offer(please don't ask how much that comes to!!!)
he is away again tonight,he kept making me cups of tea all morning and asked for a goodbye kiss and said I had to get up(I know I stayed in bed feeling sorry for myself esp as he said get up there is housework to be done:mad::mad::mad::mad:....I have not done any)back to work tomorrow so need to pull myself together, calling my oldest friend (she has known me since we were 13 )tonight for a good old moan!0 -

Yes, I do this sort of thing. Or fall for buying new things because they are nicely presented when if I look carefully, I have something similar already - like I bought a Benefit box of make up recently and I reckon I had very similar coloured products separately from different brands with plenty of use left in them.
I went in House of Fraser today and was looking at the Estee Lauder Christmas make up kit and just managed to convinced myself not to buy a bottle of perfume I don't need and spend £50 on the make up kit just because it's supposedly worth £250. It was all very nicely presented, but there was nothing I needed in there and most of it was in colours that didn't suit me.
I like to tell myself I like things that are nice quality but I think I am suckered in by things that "look nice" rather too much of the time without really questioning if I need them or if they will suit me.0 -

Sorry you're having such a rotten time Rosemary, I think this emotion thing is a common issue with men, there's been times when I've been in tears and my OH seems completely unmoved and completely unaware of what the problem is. He's even denied all knowledge of my ever having been upset afterwards, all this and he can be very sensitive himself when he wants to be! I really hope things improve for you soon.
Big hugs to Tokkiandoliver too - so sorry to hear you've had such sad news
Been shopping in Liverpool One today, was very good and only bought a birthday present for my friend. We stayed over last night after watching Kevin Bridges at the Empire - he was fantastic
I've two outs - both GA - S & G Glow Lotion and Easy Glistening - both gifts at some point and both non essential products I just won't use - even if I was determined they would last literally years as only the type of thing you'd put on if you were going out and I can't quite see the point in shimmering if I'm honest! :rotfl: Given to Mum to car boot at some point.0 -
UUs to report:
TIGI Bed Head Hair Care Thicken & Volume Superstar Conditioner Thick Massive Hair: WIBA? Yes, it has brought my hair back to life it's now very thick and has a bounce to it. I got this free from a WHSmith magazine offer and it has lasted a very long time.
BS Shea butter cream. I've decided to stop buying this for now as it's cold and I can't be dealing with putting this cold cream on my body, I will just have to make up more more of my raw shea butter and oil mix.
Ok, it is my mission to solely use up products and not gain any purchased ins from now to the end of the year (must ignore BS's free delivery post). My last ins (hopefully) for the year are:
Boots 17 Lasting Fix Lipstick
Boots 17 Mirror Shine On Lipstick
2 x packs of cotton wool pads
1 x nail polish remover
Got a good deal on the boots lipsticks as it was buy one get one half price plus I was given a £2 off lipstick from the ACM so two lipsticks for £4 :T. However, I forgot to use my double points voucher again! :mad:0 -
had a chat with my dear friend and feel much better, was beginning to think it was me that was wrong but she thinks OH has a lot to answer for!
painted my nails cherry red (Opi from a bb) topped with glitter from nails inc(mag freebie)looks very pretty except for the bits on my fingers rather than my hands:rotfl:
looking at flights for OH as when he gets home tomorrow he will then be flying off to Inverness on wed............oh well no chance of rows then:rotfl:0 -
I have another UU to report:
Rimmel BB cream sample 1.5ml
Although this was in 'light' it was again far too dark for me, although I liked the texture and finish it couldn't override the fact it was just too dark and yellow for me! WNBA0 -
I'm back for some good vibes
as I forgot how vindictive some parts of this board is.
I have no more INs I have a Time Delay that will be an OUT tomorrow, nice smell and lasts long with a SPF 12. Off work tomorrow to catch up with annual leave, and I hope it's as nice a day as today was, absolutely beautiful but I think it's to rain.
I'm heading to bed for an early night, I have my lectric blanket on and my feet are freezing.
Hugs to everyone that needs themLife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -

Sorry you are having such a rotten time. Even if OH will not go with you to Relate, have you considered going to counselling on your own, not necessarily Relate, some very good private councellors out there. I found it extremely beneficial a few years ago, helped me work out why I reacted the way I did to things (rather not go into to much detail) and how to deal with situations, so that I did not get so upset and then could sort out problems more effectively (OH would not go to Relate either!!) Friends are wonderful, but sometimes it needs someone outside of the circle. Take care of yourself.
Tokkiandoliver, so sorry about your loss, all my best wishes. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0
