Feeling an urge to indulge - Spend £30 or more on L'Occitane and I can get a collection worth £25 made up of items I would use bar a perfume (and that I might like if I tried).
However, there is NOTHING I need so anything I buy will just get added to the stash list, and whilst I can claim I could use the gift collection as a present, wouldn't it be better to just buy a friend a present I think they'd really like??
To be fair, I did give a friend some L'Occitane for her birthday and she really liked it BUT I've already got a few L'Occitane gift sets tucked away so there's no excuse. Am sure if all I want to do is add something to the stockpile I can do it cheaper after Christmas.
Anyone ever wonder why they feel this compulsion to spend? Every time I think about it there are a number of different reasons that come to mind, not sure any on their own explain it. Makes it a bit harder to fight back when I am not sure what I am battling against!0 -
Murad Intensive Wrinkle Reducer, 7ml
l
I've also got that, also a freebie. I looked on their website and the full size one (about 30ml I think) was £179 or thereabouts :eek:I I think it was actually out of stock as well.
I'm expecting great things from this3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
Another UU for me: Nivea Soft Moisturiser 300ml Love this stuff & WMB once I've got through some of the multitude of 1/2 used pots!:)
Seriously thinking of putting a £1 away for every UU as I've seen some of you do from your sigs ..... would be good for treats & not feeling guilty about them!:D:T
Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000

Sorry you are having such a rotten time. Even if OH will not go with you to Relate, have you considered going to counselling on your own, not necessarily Relate, some very good private councellors out there. I found it extremely beneficial a few years ago, helped me work out why I reacted the way I did to things (rather not go into to much detail) and how to deal with situations, so that I did not get so upset and then could sort out problems more effectively (OH would not go to Relate either!!) Friends are wonderful, but sometimes it needs someone outside of the circle. Take care of yourself.
I can second that Rosemary. OH and I are currently seeing Relate - at first he refused to go so I started seeing a personal counsellor through my work (which was free). When I eventually told him I was talking to somebody, he suddenly became a lot more receptive to going to Relate for couples counselling. Your OH may not react the same way, but I've found personal counselling to be really good for me for lots of reasons.Just a thought.
Will catch up on other posts later, and afraid to say I'm already on the naughty step after a trip to L'Occitane at the weekend...:o"Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0 -

SSB not very excited about this esp the spray perfume which is sickly sweet and cheap looking
once my current sub is over and my free box too I will not be renewing manily as sooooo much stuff in the satsh I don,t even use, will stick to the brands I love instead.
did not get the free mini mascara :(but have so many i can't be bothered calling them to see why!
love my opium perfume tho,it is a spray bottle and a handbag size spray so very useful,it is the newer vapeurs one but i know it lasts as well as the original and sprayed some on at duty free in portyugal and it lasted till I got home:)0 -

Sure mineral spray deodorant
Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint sample
I ordinarily use Sure deodorant but this one was strange and tended to flake. not sure if I WBA.
The Liz Earle Skin Tint was lovely, but unfortunately too dark for me, even in the fair shade. It also had a smell I didn't love. WNBA but this was just a free sample.
I'm using the LE Sheer Skin Tint as my moisturiser at the mo to try and eek out my PCMC. Not a fan of it myself and won't repurchase. Even though I've applied it with a foundation brush it still feels cakey.VALM - I was shopping in the Liz Earle shop in Leeds, it is quite new and is in the very fashionable Victoria Quarter. The shop is on two floors and is really lovely, lots of staff to help and you got all the same deals as online. It was £70 you needed to spend to get the freebie kit. It was busy in the shop and there were lots of men buying mens things.
I haven't been to Leeds for ages and it was really nice to go yesterday the only disappointment was that neither Boots or Debs stocked Philosophy and I really wanted to check out the Christmas things.
Have a lovely break Maddiemay.
Have not been to Leeds to years and it's not a place that we ever visit although I'll keep this in mind in case MrM works there in the near future.
To be honest I haven't seen much in the way of Philosophy Christmas stock. They don't seem to be making as many kits as they used to. Mind you, probably because a lot ends up being reduced after Christmas. Talking of Philosophy though I got a bargain yesterday. Called into the Boots local to work to collect the Gok collection I ordered. Had a mooch on the Clearance Shelf and found a full sized Philosophy Melon Dacquari shower gel reduced to £7.00. I asked whether they were intending to stock Philosophy in the future and the SA explained that they are not but if they receive anything by mistake in their orders they put those products directly onto the Clearance Shelf. Here's hoping that a Pumpkin Pie turns up!

I've pulled one of the small bottles of this out of my stash (have about 4 - at last count). I don't use it as much because of the faffing about to melt the product first. I try to remember to bring a small bowl of kettle boiled water up to the bathroom to stand it in. It is luscious stuff when you use it though.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Three ins, though I dont have anything like them,so not countable ones - I got the red, the glitter and the navy blue - I ADORE the blue one, its gorgeous !!! (and the Edward Cullen ( LOL !!) BB cream and the nivea sachets)
Ive had another death in the family - hot on the heels of Red 10 days ago, now Trevor the most useless fighting fish in the world has gone.... not doing very well with my animals at the moment, to add to that, Maisie (the dog) has an abscess on her leg that burst today, but at least Grape is ok ! (well, she was this morning and I havent heard that shes not tonight!!)
Poor Trevor - I shall miss his random speeds round the tank finishing in the centre for all the world like he was going "TA DA !!!"[/QUOTE]
Assume you are referring to the Nails Inc colours. Watch out - that blue one stains the nails like mad. I ended up dipping my nails in Sterodent afterwards.
MrM used to keep marine fish and we had a clownfish that used to be a bit mental and swim speedily up and down like Trevor. We called ours Mulder and Scully. Mulder leapt from the tank one day and left Scully alone.tokkiandoliver wrote: »Hi everyone -
Sorry for not being around. I had a tragic death in the family and my mind just can't seem to focus on anything else.
Hope everyone has tons of UU's this month, and hopefully I can pop on later when I'm feeling better.
So sorry to hear this Tokki. My deepest condolences. Take care - Val xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
