    Hi All.

Have a uu today courtesy of DH -

Original Source Goji Berry & Mallow - WNBA, the scent was very disappointingly weak which is a shame as OS are usually very scented. It has been replaced with a 30ml MB Suma Ginseng which won't last him long I don't think.

    Hi everyone! Back from Budapest! Managed to restrain myself in Duty Free and all the pharmacies. Have a few UU to report though;

Murad Vitamin C Cleanser - WNBA, came as a freebie a while ago and made my skin feel a bit too dry.

Original Source Mint and Tea Tree s/g - WNBA, forgot how strong this scent was!

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair 7ml - WBA, was going to get it from Duty Free but they only had the 100ml version and it was a bit too much for me to afford. Going to wait till the next Boots shopping evening next Thursday. It really has helped my skin.

John Freida Brilliant Brunette Shampoo - WBA, was quite nice but I have a million more uses to go in my Tigi superstar!

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Conditioner - WBA, again was quite nice but have a million more uses from my Tigi conditioner.

Colgate Sensitive Pro Gum Health toothpaste - WNBA, was a sample size and didn't really do much for me. On to a sample of the Oral B 3D optic white stuff.

Assume you are referring to the Nails Inc colours. Watch out - that blue one stains the nails like mad. I ended up dipping my nails in Sterodent afterwards.

So sorry to hear this Tokki. My deepest condolences. Take care - Val x

:eek::eek: Eek - I was planning to take mine off tonight but may hold off as I don't have anything to soak my nails in. Does whitening toothpaste do anything?

I did GA the last S & G Hand Food - donated into work for the girlies. WNEBA. Never liked it in the first place but kept getting them as preezies. Not an issue now as my family have cut way down on the gift buying. I am now using a Jason hand and body lotion. I am loving this and the difference in just a few days is really noticable. My hands don't feel dry and tight anymore. Best of all this was a product swap at Wholefoods, so got rid of a nasty body lotion and got this.

One more UU from the weekend I forgot to declare:

Simple Brightening face wipes - WBA - really like these but would only get them on offer as I think £4 odd is too much to pay for just face wipes - I try not to use them all the time now anyway and I've no excuse to when I've still a tonne of cleanser/makeup remover to get through but they are handy sometimes. Would happily pick these up on three for two.

Was getting ready for work this morning, got up a little earlier than usual as we've just moved to new offices which are a 20 min/half an hour drive away rather than the 10 min walk I was lucky to have before. Switched my hair straighteners on and horror of horrors they just kept switching themselves back off again :eek::eek: I've only had them since August after having to replace the same kind when one of the plates stopped heating up (in fairness that was my own fault as I dropped them but I've been soo careful with these ones).

Very impressed with Boots customer services, explained I didn't really want the same ones again as they seemed to break so easily so they said it was no problem for me to swap to a different type which I did and as they were on offer I also got a partial refund so I was very happy with that! :D New straighteners have very good reviews and out of curiosity looked at those for the old ones and loads of people had complained they'd had a couple of pairs break on them. Got to say whenever I've had a problem with anything I've had from Boots their customer service has always been excellent, other places could do with taking a leaf out of their book!

PS dodgy ones are Remington Pearl, new ones are Remington Keratin Therapy - just in case anyone is looking for new ones at the moment as both are currently on offer, along with most of the straighteners that my store stocked. My hair feels knackered at the moment after some colourant that really didn't agree with it so I'm hoping this keratin gismo will help as its meant to be kinder to your hair. Will give them a whirl later - I love having a new gadget to play with :D

I have had an IN already so soon after signing on a Nail Inc Glitter nail varnish from Glamour Mag. To be fair I needed to spend some money to get change and as I had already read the paper I thought it would make sense to spend the £2

Then turned up at my hotel (work so dead boring really) and my toilet bag was not in the car. Got a hair brush but nothing else. Reception gave me a toothbrush set and the room has toiletries obviously. Then went in search of dinner and wifi and ended up at the Galleria in Hatfield. Wondered around the totally empty shops and resisted buying anything eventhough its all outlet. There was a lovely Body Shop, an M&S and a SuperDrug so I think I did really well to resist.

    Another UU to report:

Chanel Allure Sensuelle EDP. Love this perfume (I love all Chanel perfumes I think) but this was a LHJ; I've had this perfume for at least 5 years. The EDP is really long lasting but subtle; I can still smell it on my wrists 12 hours after I sprayed it and you only need a very little. WIBA? Yes but I have several perfumes to go through, including one bottle of Coco and two of Coco Mademoiselle, before I buy any more perfumes.

And edited to add another UU: Small tube of bath salts complimentary from a ver very lovely hotel on the Cardiff waterfront. WNBA because didn't buy and can't see I'll ever be able to afford to go back :rotfl:

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, 30ml - WNBA, not convinced on oil cleansers tbh lol

    TA

Jemma Kidd I Glamour Volume Mascara - Open for three weeks and went HORRIBLY clumpy! Unusable now!

  • One more UU this morning - Origins Mega Mushroom face cream - WNBA, had for many years and ended up using up as a body lotion.

I had a look though all my various face creams that are tucked away out of use yesterday, started up writing my stash list, though have a long way to go to complete it. It reminded me just how much I have to use, even if a lot of it is the form of sample sizes. I think I've been a bit silly saving them for travel - I don't go on anything like enough trips away to use up the vast quantity I have in my box and between them they add up to quite a few full size creams.

In any case, these days you can get a decent choice of travel size toiletries in Boots, not to mention little pots to decant some of your usual moisturiser into for a holiday so it wouldn't hurt me to use them all up. I've got quite a few in there I've not tried at all. For all I know there could be a HG lurking in that box and I'm still going hunting for one while buying full sizes which might turn out to be terrible on my skin. Crazy huh!

I am thinking I am going to GA my last S & G Hand Food. I have been using it for the last week and my hands are not doing well at all. It is not moisturising my hands at all. I am not a fan of this anyway but it is rubbish now that the weather has turned and I need a good hand cream. I tried TBS hemp hand cream today but didn't like it. It felt too greasy for me. I am also not a fan of L'Occitaine either. I think I don't like the shea butter that so many hand cream uses. I have a Jason's hand and body lotion in my stash and will give this a go.

I'm like this as well Fiasco. I prefer a gel like cream or a lotion. My favourite lotion is Molten Brown Mulberry although I don't have any at the moment. Am working my way through my stash of Elemis lotions. Have the Lime and Ginger one at work which is getting hammered due to the drop in temperature and the harshness of the hand wash in the loo at work. At home I have the hand lotion version of the milk bath which is also lovely.
    Hi Everyone,

This is my first ever challenge! I have been enjoying reading the posts here this afternoon and its sound both practical and fun.

I havent counted the items I have to use up - maybe I will brave that next month when hopefully there wont be so many. It is my intention not to make any new purchases until the new year.

    Best wishes, getting there slowly:)

Welcome getting there slowly. What are your weaknesses then?
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
