So glad to hear your mum is doing well Scrappie. Have a great holiday.

I have a fair few outs today. We are doing a charity raffle at work so I have made up L'Occitane bundles to be included in the give away. These are minis that I liberated from a hotel in Bruges for my birthday. So 16 GA all in the name of charity.

Well done Kiplingmonkey on the £190, what will you spend it on?

I want an IPAD so it will go towards that - I shall open my SPC at the end of the month so can't wait to see what is in there too. I have been adding £5 for every TSV I would have bought previously but have managed to resist so it will hopefully be a reaonable amount.

    Hello Ladies!!!

Welcome back - glad to hear your Mum is doing ok and good luck with your tests. Have a great hol - a holiday plus a Vegas 40th birthday bash, sounds great!

Sadly no more UUs although I may have to re-purpose some Lulu time bomb eye cream - I have been having watery eyes so have reverted to a LE daily eye cream. Will retry Lulu at the weekend and if I have the same problem I shall use it as a neck cream I think as the consistency is nice.

24 ins as advent calender arrived, plan is to open 1 box a day in dec:rotfl:
  • Evening ladies,

Hope everyone is well, another week more than halfway through, where does the time go?! Will be Christmas before we know it

I've had a few IN and UU in the last couple of days:

    IN:

Skin Therapy 3 in 1 wipes x 2 packs - Two for £1 in Wilkinson's, the packaging looks much more expensive, thought I would give them a whirl. Don't use wipes often now but they are handy to have in. First use I found them strongly fragranced (they did have a non-scented version which I knew I should really get!) and they did leave my face a bit red but it's quite often like this with a new product and then settles down. Will perceive further and see how I get on - if they don't suit me then at least I've not wasted a fortune and I'll use them for cleaning or something.

Tigi Bed Head Control Freak Extra Extra Straight Hair Straightener (what a mouthful!!) - this is fab swap from the FB group - I've used this before and love the smell of it, its a kind of mousse/spray hybrid which makes hair v straight.

    UU/Out:

L'Oreal Everpure Shampoo - This is the volume one, love the smell, lathers up really well and I'm all for the idea of no/less nasties (I can't profess to be an expert) at a reasonable price. Only quibble with this one is that I didn't really find it volumising and actually preferred the one I originally had as a sample which I think was the moisturising one. I've another bottle of this to go which I think I might start alternating with something else as my hair does seem to get used to shampoo and it be less effective in taming it!

TBS Passion Fruit Body Butter and Montage Jeunesse Pomegranate Peel-Off Face Mask - swaps for the Tigi hair stuff :)

The skin on my legs and particularly arms has been really dry and itchy lately, I originally put it down to heating being on and have been moisturising more than usual but I don't know if it may also be because I've been using soap lately rather than shower gel (although moisturising types like olive oil, Dove etc) so going to switch back and see if this has any bearing too.

OT now but still money saving and might be of some help to someone - I got my latest gas and electricity statement yesterday and in small letters at the bottom it told me they were upping my monthly direct debit by £36, considering I was paying £90 before (live on my own, work full time, often six days a week, gas heating, electric everything else) this is a big difference and as I'm sure everyone will appreciate its difficult to keep finding extra money at the moment as bills continually rise (and wages do not!). I was a little  to say the least. Anyway two phone calls to them later and one meter reading and its now going to be staying exactly the same. So its not useless to query increases with them, I think they just like to get as many people as possible to run up credits on their accounts (supplier beginning with an e. and ending in an on :D).
  • great news Scrappie!!

im getting near the ends of a few full sizes atm so hoping for some UU soon and def before the end of the month.

had to start using a Bare Minerals eyeliner before it ends up being a TA but i must admit i'm sorely tempted. I can get it to work but its just awful to use!got it out last week and it'd had started to dry out really badly. its better now ive sharpened it though! the cap has split so its evidently not really up to the job and its a nighmare to sharpen! ive had to push the actual make up bit back in the "pencil" too cz it comes out when i sharpen it and when freshly sharpened the top of the point always breaks off.
  • What a week. Every day I'm out of the house for at least 12 hours, which I sorely hate in this dark morning, want to hibernate, time.

Managed to save £400 by going to a new dentist, when old dentist insisted I needed a root canal on a tooth he hadn't even looked at after he filled it last month. Turns out it was just a problem with the white filling shrinking. Unfortunately the anaesthetic gave me a strange reaction so didn't really sleep at all last night.

Another 12 hour work day today, so decided to treat myself. Came home, ran a hot peppermint foot soak, mini pedi, took off nail polish, took my makeup off, facial massage and used lovely BS lemon whip body lotion. Am now curled up in bed having overdosed on carbs.

    Two UU today:

Bobbi Brown hydrating face cream sample 1.5 ml
Cutex acetone free nail polish remover

The face cream was lovely but nothing extraordinary, and I wouldn't pay £36 for a jar of it! The nailpolish was hanging around from my days of acrylic nails (4 years ago!) and was really slow to use as it was acetone free. WNBA

That's great news Scrappie, I hope you both have a lovely holiday:)

I'm off on my holiday in 2 weeks time, really looking forward to it.
I have no more UUs but have some splutters so hopefully should have some outs in the next few days. No more INs either :)
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time

Laidbare Moisturising Body Mlk, 200ml - WNBA, loved the sherbet smell of this but did not leave me feeling as moisturised as lotion does
Essential Care Organic Rose Moisturiser, 1.5ml x 1 - WNBA, nice but not as lux as the Dr Hauschka :)

  • Hey everyone! Well done on the uus for the last couple of days.

I was just wondering if any of you lovely ladies know a cheaper alternative to clarins pure melt face wash gel? I like this stuff but it is far too expensive to keep buying.:(
