  • Two UUs to report

    Simple age resisting day cream
    Body shop aloe eye cream

The simple day cream i liked, but it smelled odd. Nice texture though and good for the price.

BS eye cream was a surprise and not really a UU; a pump eye cream and the pump broke. Given it was a small container and I didn't really love the product, it went in the bin

Sorry to barge in as I lurk on this thread for inspiration - my stash is not too bad because I lurk here if that makes sense?
It's not very cheap but the Naked range is 2 for £6 at Boots at the moment and the Sensitive shampoo and conditioners are paraben, sls and silicone free. They are not very exciting though and I will be switching to the Organic Surge shampoo and conditioner that I use on my daughter once these are used up!

Thanks very much for that! Determined to use what I have no matter how much it makes me itch!. I find that if at least one is free of nasties then it isn't so bad(I.e cheap shampoo and nasty free conditioner).

  • Hello Ladies!!!

It's been a long time, but I'm back - kind of!! Going on my hols on Friday, so won't be up for posting much as far to much shopping to be done.

For those of you that 'know' me here's a quick update

Mum had her op and reconstruction began at the same time. The remainder of the reconstruction will take place in the new yr. She is doing SO well, it's hard for me to believe what she has been through -but I'm really glad that it's over. She got the all clear to fly, so will coming away with me at the end of this week. Great news!

I go for my first appointment with the genetics centre later today - I will be teasted for the breast cancer gene, and then decisions will posibly have to be made. But will think about that on my return from holiday.

I am now back at work full time, following a phased return earlier in September. Enjoying been back, but not sure that I'm in the 'right job' as I know the pressures will begin again - it's the nature of the beast. So, trying to decide what to do, and it will probably result in me been redeployed, at a lower pay grade. Not the 'best' result - but I would much rather have my health and less money, than go through a year like this one again.

A huge thanks to all you ladies who supported me during those bad times earlier on this year - truely, you have no idea just how much of a difference you made to my days. Thankyou

I had my big birthday bash in Vegas and had a total blast - if you're gonna turn 40 that's the way to do it!

On the toiletry front..... things not so good!!!!!

Had a total meltdown and bought everything in sight at on point. I seem to have a good stock of Elemis PCMC day and night creams now! Also 'on impulse' (!!!!!!??) bought a Clarisonic Mia. Have to say though, it's great and it will be coming on holiday with me.

I hope that I will get back to posting on here on a more regular basis soon. Hope that you are all well and that your stash is vanishing before your eyes!

Great news Scrappie and wow about the birthday bash - insanely jealous! Best of luck with everything and hope you both enjoy your holiday!!

I have a UU (yay) ren face scrub 25ml - it was nice, a bit tingly and didnt leave my face red but didnt have a wow factor really so probably WNBA.

But I have 2 ins! (boo!) a can of dry shampoo and a lovely sounding organic hair and body wash for Chloe as the 'baby' stuff she's been using has been leaving her hair super fluffy. But the old stuff will get used up eventually on Izzy so it's not too bad!

    Still no BB here *sigh*

Great news about your mum Scrappie, fingers crossed for you with the genetic testing. Have a great holiday and then think about the job stuff, as you say your health and happiness is more important than the ££££££'s. I stuck too long in a job that was so bad for me , wish I had had the courage to jump ship, long before the redundancy forced me to:) Look forward to seeing you back here relaxed and refreshed in a while.

Rosemary - glad to see you pop up above, have been hoping that you are O.K.:):)

I've been bad, I just ordered the Selfridges Lucky Bag. I have resisted the urge to sign up to one of beauty boxes till now and thought for £15 it wasn't too bad. Plus you might get a £150 gift card if you're lucky! Don't think I will be but it will give me a few treats to try.
