He's enjoying the attention given to him by a younger woman who he's probably got a mild attraction to. Most men I know (myself included) are flattered by any attention they get from any woman who they deem to be even vaguely attractive.

Maybe he's not sure how to deal with it? Maybe he doesn't want to risk upsetting her by telling her to stop it that he's letting it roll on without realising how bad it looks?

3 kids and over a decade of inactivity has taken its toll on my wifes figure. She doesn't look after herself much these days and spends more time getting make-up on and choosing nice dresses to go out with her friends than she does for me. When we go out she's ready in 10 minutes, when she's out with her friends it's 2 hours. So when my wifes sister (1 year younger, significantly easier on the eye and obscenely flirty) started walking around in front of me in very little making it more than obvious that she was flirting with me I wasn't really sure what to make of it. Well I was so shocked to start with that I let her get away with it for months before mentioning it to my wife. She soon put a stop to it! I do miss her 'accidentally' dropping things in plain view and then making sure I got an eyeful of cleavage though...but hey, I'm a man and what red blooded man doesn't appreciate a good show? On the flip side to that my wife now makes a bit more effort to look her best! lol

Maybe you need to show your man what he's missing to get his attention back focused where it should be? If you know what I mean?! *Nudge nudge wink wink* :)

FWIW I agree with the whole going out with friends, doing things for yourself thing (not going overboard but definitely take some time for yourself).
You'll look better and feel better. This will have 1 of 2 effects:
    1) He'll realise what an idiot he is being and will sort himself out or
    2) you'll realise what an idiot he is and that you're not willing to put up with it anymore.

I think you need to start initiating date nights, bottle of wine, no phones, adult conversation.

Alternatively, start skipping off somewhere on the weekends, start doing what you want to do, that'll help you feel like you rather than just a mum again.

Also, I find it unbelievably creepy when people who are parents refer to each other as mummy and daddy, nip that in the bud now.

Really? Creepy? My mum and dad always did it. And I now refer to my mum and dad as Nanny and Grandad. Is that creepy too?
