I agree. I first read longtermlurkersam's post as meaning he had to stump up £100. Reading it back I agree that this has come from the PPC and they will, in effect, be passing on the POPLA fee to the morotist if they lose.peter_the_piper wrote: »I had guessed that but if thats how its worded on the letter it could be confusing to a newbie.
If this is the same wording that the PPC used then I think that is dodgy.0 -

Ohhhhhhh look at that. "If you dare appeal we'll punish you". Absolutely disgusting !!!!0

OK, so they're saying the discount will no longer apply if you go to appeal.
I would still be tempted to appeal on whatever basis you like.Je Suis Cecil.0 -

I object to just about the first line, surely that should be Allegedly parked inproperlyI'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

So no mention that the appeal has to be on the same grounds as your original appeal. The form opens as a PDF!

They will see the original appeal, though, so they might get suspicious if it is drastically different, I guess.0 -
But why should any appeal have to be based on the previous appeal? They could be two totally different appeals and as long as one of them stacks up then appeal upheld. If they both don't stack up then both appeals rejected.
I can't see the requirement to have them both the same. PATAS doesn't work like that.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
