Select site says "No foreign transaction fees when you use your 1I2I3 Credit Card abroad for purchases 3 "
Thanks for that. I wonder when they changed that. However, they still charge for cash withdrawals overseas unlike the zero card.3.19% fixed mortgage for 5 years isn't too bad - anyone know the actual criteria for Santander Select?

Despite paying over £5k for quite a few months I still haven't been invited to Santander select0

Received an unsolicited Santander Select cheque book today. Cheques look the same as normal ones apart from the grey SELECT logo next to the Santander one. Big deal.
I do however like the 0% foreign transaction fees on the 123 CC a lot.0 -
I saw the Santander Select banner open logging into internet banking today. They must be reviewing & upgrading accounts again0

With Select you need to meet one or more of the three criteria. So £5k in each month, £75 k in savings/investments or holdings and have a property portfolio of £500k or more where the mortgage is with Santander for any amount. If you meet one of the above you meet criteria.
For customers who hold a Joint current account and are Select, and their partner on the account is not designated select, you can request that your partner get added onto Select. You will not be turned down as the Select teams are quite responsive to this and it’s usually done in about a week or so.
The gold cards are an optional addition, if your a select customer and have a 123 account you can ask to upgrade your card free of charge
The 123 Credit card now offers noforex fees anywhere in the world as long as its on purchases and in the currency of the country that you are traveling in. The person advising they can't get cash on it isn't accurate but you would incur cash advance fees on a credit card doing that so be prepared to pay 29.9% for the privilege.
The select number isn't completely free. It’s an 0330 number. Mobile friendly is the term I've been told. It allows you to ring from a mobile and it would go against inclusive minutes and I can use my landline and again if I have any time or evening and weekend minutes and I call in this period its uses the allowances, otherwise its the same cost of a local land line.
The select managers seem to be able to offer a wide range of services from day to day transactions to opening and closing accounts to dealing with complaints and complex issues. They get it sorted as fast as they can with the right outcome for the customer and I would assume for them as well but mutual agreement isn't a bad business model.
Preferential rates are available but at present I think Select is a great 'Free' service and a great innovation in this day and age. Feels more like speaking to a bank manager then someone who sounds like they can't be bothered to answer the phone and only they’re to work for the weekend. So Credit where credit is due. I suspect some of you need to speak to these guys to iron out some of your concerns... I feel you may be pleasantly surprised.0 -

I've become a Select customer finally lol!0

One of the biggest perks of being the Select customer is that you don't have to pay the £5 monthly fee, it remains at £2/month for Select customers0
