I have a large, thick tablecloth that I doubt I could buy anymore from the very o/s place of my grandmas cupboards.:D She is on her own now and eats off a lap tray so no need for tablecloths. Have you asked around the family to see if anyone has one now unwanted.
When we holidayed in France last yer, a lot of market stalls were selling them and I know my mum has brought some back off hols abroad before, so that's another suggestion if you are going away or someone you know is.0 -
Spendless, never thought of that, Nana moved few years ago from huge house to a diddy bunglow wonder if she still has any, saying that not much space in the bungalow so may have been thrown out. Tried Mam she has always had oval or round tables and has none that will fit
mines oblong.
This is going to be my mission when the kids go back to school, after just cleaning the table I think it may need to be varnished too, which is a shame as I liked the way it is, but there is marks already I can't get offOne day I might be more organised...........

I would keep looking in charity shops - stock changes regularly - and I have bought several tablecloths from them recently, the seersucker sort which I never bother to iron.

Hi there lil me, I have loads of tablecloths I really must find a home for, drop me a PM and I'll give you more details.
My daughter has taken to using them again, mostly the hand embroidered ones from her Gran, so perhaps it's getting fashionable to have them on show!:cool:0 -

Cant do links I`m afraid but Argos do protective cloths like the one in the current catalogue on Page 1188-9 which you then can cut to size. It is made of felt and costs £14.99 so you could put something pretty on top.
Catalogue number 861/06050 -
