  • Bargainmonkey, you're right when you use the word fiasco.!!
I was unable to place an online order due to a website problem, so I phoned up as I was concerned the item I wanted would go out of stock before website would accept my order. I explained I wanted to part pay using some Exchange Vouchers, all seemed ok as I received a confirmation email detailing correct details ie £20 vouchers, £19.50 credit card. Picked up item as arranged from local store but on checking my credit card account I find that I have been charged full amount of £39.50!!:mad::mad:
Spent a looong time holding on phone using their 0845 number trying to sort it out before I gave up. Sent them an email & despite receiving automated 'we've rec'd your email' response, I'm still waiting for someone to get back to me.
Have now also sent email to Philip Clarke CEO- will be interested to see if his office gets back to me!
    What a fiasco !!!!
  • Does anyone know what happens when you buy an item online that says it is for X amount but when it sits in your basket it bounces up in price? Can you buy it and claim the difference back later?
  • 5 days after the original store delivery date today I could finally pick up my last toy thru the exchange. Waited 20 mins but let it go as young lad so stressed coz of new system. Got toy home, unwrapped it to find its the wrong toy. Great. Will have to back in tomorrow to arrange a change. Have do.e the exchange every Xmas for years and never had issues. What a farce. X

Hi guys, my mum has £25 worth of clubcard vouchers and I want to double them up to get this worth £44.50. Is that possible or are you only allowed to use one £10 off and thats it? Basically if I doubled up and got £50 worth of vouchers for the toys section could they all go on this and a little something else?
    Thanks a lot!

Yes, that's fine. You can convert as many vouchers as you like - for every £5.00 (in any combination) converts into a £10.00 exchange voucher.
Make sure you order the right type e.g. Tesco.com on-line or In-Store. And, your order must be over the value of the Exchange vouchers i.e. you can't pay for a £44.50 with £50.00 of vchrs - you to order something else as well.
Finally just in case of OOS have a 'plan B'.

What is it with this exchange? A load of the popular toys are now not included in the exchange but were to start with? I have noticed they are keeping the prices competitive but not much use if you have saved your vouchers to buy the toys!

Why do Tesco say that you can collect your order the next day? Mine's still showing as order submitted so no chance of getting it today then, this has happened a few times now :(
  • If you have a query and are on fb, dont bother phoning, go via fb tesco page, thry are really helpful on there I've found x

I had an email today saying moy order is now available to collect (due in on Wed) but I collected it last night. I think their computer system is taking a while to catch up so you may well find your order is already instore.
  • Online it still seems to say my order isn't in yet, and I collected it on Wednesday!
