  • Best of luck to everyone who are still waiting for the offers to come through. We've been in our new house for 2 weeks now and are mega happy that after long and stressful wait for Nationwide to arrange a valuation and issue a mortgage offer we managed to finally finish the selling/buying process:T the funds from Nationwide came through really quickly on the day of completion and we were ready to move in by 12pm:T painting and decorating process ahead:D

  • I completed yesterday with a Nationwide mortgage. The whole process went really smoothly for me from the first contact with them. I did it through a branch and had excellent customer service. Late on Thursday evening I went onto Internet banking (current account with Nationwide) and the new mortgage account had appeared on my list of accounts. This made me happy as it seemed that it was all definitely going ahead. Good luck to anyone else who is waiting.

That's excellent news - glad it's all worked out for you! I'm still unpacking boxes and sorting stuff out... I keep putting off the dreaded Ikea visit as well.

I second what littlesparkles has said as well, it is very handy to have the mortgage listed on online banking next to the current account, makes it all seems a lot easier to keep track of.

Just a moan. 3 weeks since valuation and still nothing. Stressing like mad. Was hoping we'd have the offer by Christmas at the latest but as each day ticks by it's looking less and less likely. :(

We have had the text asking us to ring and book the valuation (this is a right to buy application) - does that mean all other checks have been done and they are just waiting on the valuation?

    Hi,
In the case of our buyer (a friend - ftb) he applied for the mortgage on the Monday, the valuation was on the Wednesday but then it took a further 5 weeks to get the offer. In that time they requested more info etc
