Just come in from a bit of tidying in the garden. Using the flylady approach of I'll just do HH to try to break it down into manageable chunks.

House is very tidy for the weekend and all hoovered, just need to dust DS2&3 bedrooms tomorrow and they can help with tidying their bits.

All listy done except dog grooming, but as fireworks have just started, I'm going to do that while watching the telly really loud. Sick dog is hiding under my chair already.

Right, cuppa then grooming. Have a good evening everyone.

My little ones are so excited, they are still awake and stood on my bed squealing at fireworks through the window. Littlest is shouting "ooh yeah, a little big one!" lol.

Did their beds this morning, mine tomorrow. Done dailies. And two washes (one a duvet).

    Must try harder.

  • well, I am finally ready to call it a night....and ready to go to sleep in my own bed:j:j:j

my bedroom floor is now repaired with decent floorboarding instead of the crumbly weetabix stuff I had before....for cost reasons I have only replaced what has actually disintegrated, so I know that I will have to fork out more money in the future.

The floorboarding was complete at 2.30pm, I have been flying ever since :D

    Hoovered the upstairs
washed all the sawdust out of my carpet (6 hours worth of v@xing)
    re-assembled DS cotbed
    re-made my bed
washed 3 walls of paintwork in my room
    washed windowsills
wiped down all bedroom furniture (got DIY helper to move back into position)
    washed and bleached kitchen sink
    DW X 2
    hot spotted DD2 room
    made all beds
deep cleaned ensuite to remove blue hairdye :eek::eek: - courtesy of DD2

DIY helper took all broken floorboards and chucked on my bonfire that has been drying out for last 6 weeks and set it alight and watched it burn.......last red embers now - all gone :D:D:D

Righty ho, time to turn in before today becomes tomorrow already, and I will try and catch up on the official list before the new one comes round on Monday

    night night flyladies and flygents:)
The cold never bothered me anyway

Okay. I've familiarised myself a bit more with the MSE version of FLYING. A couple of basic (stupid) questions if I may.

Re swishing - what if my surfaces are so covered in clutter that I can't get near them to swish? How do I start sorting that out?

What do you do when you have so much stuff that you don't know where to start? :o

Hotspot clearance will gradually clear those surfaces. Until then you swish what you can see or substitute swishing for clearing.. 15 minutes is enough to do a noticable chunk.. even in my hovel!

Your home will be transformed over time.. the gubbins didn't get there overnight it won't be gone overnight!

    Morning All

Well WM & TD are on so I've made a start. We did the food shopping yesterday after we'd been to Blackbrook so I don't think I'm going anywhere today. I've got some paperwork to do for Beavers and Cubs and I must get some ironing done as well as other stuff around the house. Clearing the floors to hoover would be a good start!

    Have a good day all

    Hi notanewuser!

The hhc is a wonderful thing. It's amazing what you can get done. Just set the kitchen timer, grab a binbag and go. And, as Valli will tell you, "don't put it down, put it away" should be your new mantra, to help stop the little blighters creeping back in...

Best of luck, slow and steady wins the race!
