Lady Liberty what a lovely surprise. Thank you so much for popping by and we just want to hear about you so don't worry about anything else.

Been to Mr M £10 off £50 used but spent £60 to get 15p off a litre of petrol and DHs car is empty. Will repeat next week for my car. Got my first Christmas coupon too. They are taking other supermarket coupons now and when I got home the postie had just bought the Mr T ones - not my favourite shop at all so I can use them at Mr M - very happy!

Just had lunch and DS1 has completely tidied and cleaned his room which is great as it was a right tip.

DS3 could be spiking a bit of a temp and is a bit off colour which is a nuisance as it is cricket trials this afternoon.

    Hello everybody.

Have a serious case of CHAOS and have been looking into flylady routines.

While I like the idea, a couple of things confuse me. I wonder if you can help?

    1. Getting dressed to shoes/get up 15 mins before everybody else.

It takes me much longer than 15 mins to shower, dress, dry hair and put face on. Should I really be getting up 45-60 minutes earlier?

    2. Making the bed as soon as you're out of it.

I like to air the bed, plus if I'm getting up an hour before OH, I can't make the bed because he'll still be in it!! How do you all get around this?

I get up, I shower, I get dressed. Shoes on for leaving the house.

Bed - gets to air - at least while I am eating breakfast; I do like to make it before I leave the house, though.

(Those tips are for our US friends - do what YOU need to do:p;))

I have emptied DW, pegged out washing, opened windows and re-gingerified my hair *preens self* no grey;):rotfl:
I have been to local once-a-month food market, bought fancy sausages and had my car washed for £3:D while I shopped! I have also sourced a possible additional stall for an upcoming PTA event.:A

I am going to see my frinds new baby this afternoon - but I had a sneak preview as they were at the food fair! Baby is now back to birth weight (he is just over 3 weeks old, I think,) following feeding problems - note to self - do NOT mention how DS was back to birth weight by the time we were dicharged from hospital when he was 5 days old - and BURSTING out of his clothes. Some things were worn once - by the time I washed them they were outgrown

I wouldn't have gone to see him earlier anyway as I had a cold. I had texted her to tell her that was why she hadn't seen me; but she wanted to limit visitors due to feeding problems/stress.

ETA Lady Liberty - wow (yes it will be two years in January since we lost 'our' lovely Diva - I can remember because it's DDs birthday) tell Ian she is still remembered, and missed please. (Was thinking about her earlier and her 'feed cat - at least twice' note on her lists). Lovely to 'see' you - hope 'life' is being kind.

Well, in that hour, I tidied DD's DVDs and sorted through her drawers of paper, pens and gibble......one bag of stuff in the bin. Going to have a cuppa and get on with the shelves, see if I can find the stand for her telly and maybe sort through her clothes?!?!!?

    HHC at 1:30???????

    ETA, here I go again...............................
  • Failing miserably with the essay :( But the bolognaise is prepped & in the SC :T (me? procrastinate? Never!!)
I am going to make roasted butternut squash soup, but not yet :)

I have set myself up in the summerhouse. It is quiet, no distractions (except MSE & general internet :o). I have a desk, and I have put the heater on. No excuses! I need to do at least 600 words! That is the final part of the essay, and will just leave reading/editing, introduction & conclusion. That will be light at the end of the tunnel. The trouble is, I don't know what to write :( I am going to fail this one :o:(

Ok. I am going to give it at least an uniterrupted HHS. Off I go!

ETA Lovely to hear from you LadyLiberty :)

Jazee - acouple of years ago York was snowbound and as I walked towards the station I saw a young girl (maybe 20) wearing a very thin, short, strapless dress and high heels ( no tights) and I was equipped for a quick trip to the North Pole..... and I am a northerner born and bred!

Well it happened again this morning (or maybe I am just seeing things today) but on the way to Selby with DH (and he saw this too) was a male teenager wearing jeans and a bra, bare apart from that. Did look a bit sheepish though. Probably the morning after the night before.

Anyway, shopping done, will do washing up from lunch now, read paper, do some puzzles, groom dogs, walk them again. Oh I don't like how this list is getting longer and longer. And I need to give DH a hug on instructions on my diary from Ionafan!

    Catch you all later.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • All is quiet at yorkietowers - a very strange sensation - DD1 is working at the local charity shop, DD2 has gone straight from her sleepover to meet other mates in town..... and DS? Sleeping off a dreadful hangover and occasionally making dreadful noises in the bathroom......:mad::mad:.......

so I am HOOVERING ;););) and am shortly going to do some cooking - just to really annoy him......

Update: HHStudy done - 290 words achieved :j
I am going to make a cuppa now, as my hands are bit cold. Then I will do a bit more before popping out to the CS to get rid of some stuff, and starting the soup :)

ETA: cup of tea had (with biccies), squash in the oven with rosemary & garlic, some stuff put in a carrier bag for CS.
I am now back in the summerhouse (with warm hands) and I am going to do another HHStudy

Right, I cleared and polished DD's wall shelves, the OH came in :-) , so he took the telly off the wall and got the shelves down, put the tv on it's stand and moved the wardrobe and drawers for me :-)

I hoovered again and put DD's summer clothes in my wardrobe as hers was fit to burst. The only thing left to do in her room now is sort through her bookshelves and under her bed, then, hopefully, can get it painted while she is away at Brownie camp later this month...........

Just having a quick drink then I need to put the hoover round downstairs and go to the shop...............xx
