Hi sun addict - Thanks for stopping by. You are just so right about zumba. I am off again to another class this morning. Its brill. I just love it. I have a smile on my face all the way through the class !!
Yesterday was a nice day. I walked Sid then walked to the town centre gym to have an hour on the running machine. My weight has stayed the same this week so I am hoping that I have got the balance right. I have had a few more treats food wise so thats been nice ! Submitted my usual meter readings to British gas yesterday and made my payment. I am so glad I am doing this or else I would have been in a proper mess having to buy another car at short notice. Did a bit of sewing - the 2 pair of track suit pants I bought a fortnight ago are massive on the waist so I altered them. There is no point in exchanging them for a smaller size or they would be too tight on the hips. Anyway at least I have got a sewing machine so alterations and repairs don't cost me anything. Had 2 use up - deodorant and body butter. Only about another 100 products to use up (at least 100!!) Went to the hospital to visit aunty yesterday afternoon and when I got home my son called with some leftover veg from his place of work. My tortoise and chicken will be well fed this week.
Had a very lazy night. I just lounged on the sofa reading my book.
I hope everyone has had a great moneysaving day x0 -
Its been a busy day today so I plan to have a bit of a lazy evening. Up early and out with Sid to the park then off to my zumba class this morning. After zumba I did 40 minutes on the running machine. I usually walk everywhere but took my car this morning and decided to fill my little car up with fuel for the first time today. Spent £38.95 on petrol to fill my car up. My other car takes about £150 to fill the tank. I will only be using it on leap years and bank holidays from now on. Mind you I have got to have it repaired first. Also went to Aldi and spent £5.27- 2 boxes of cat food, milk, salad potatoes and a tube of face cream. I only have 1/2 days supply of day cream left so I thought I had better get some.
I had to be at the hospital this afternoon to see a social worker about my aunt being transferred from hospital to a nursing home so I combined it with visiting time. I also went to the local tip and got rid of some rubbish !!
The plan tonight is to have a nice shower, get my work things ready and have a nice read of my book.
I hope everyone is having a great moneysaving day x0 -
Had a bit of a hectic day yesterday. I was at work very early and decided to call at the gym on my way home. Did 60 minutes on the treadmill. Also took Sid out to the park for a good run round. As the weather was so nice I decided to have a bit of a potter in my garden. On the strength of my pottering I have decided to mulch all my flower beds. I know I am going to need a lot of mulch so before I went to visit my aunt at night; I called at Wickes and bought 3 huge bags of mulch. Three bags will only be the tip of the iceberg but at least the garden will look wonderful and I won’t have to do quite so much weeding. I went to the hospital to visit my aunt then unloaded the mulch out of the car when I got home. I think that I need to start to spend a bit of time just smartening up the garden in readiness for the summer !!

A busy work day for me today. Luckily I was finished by 2pm, so I decided to call and get 3 more large bags of mulch on my way home from work. Took Sid to the park in the lovely sunshine then spread one of the huge bags of mulch over one of the flowerbeds in the back garden. I am being very methodical about the mulching as I want my garden to look beautiful.
At tea time i walked to the library to pick up a book I had ordered. It it the first of a series of three books. Its called "Up with the larks" by Tessa Hainsworth. I have started reading it already and have the next 2 books waiting. I really love going to the library and having a browse. After the library I decided to attend a zumba class between 6 and 7pm. It was great and I thoroughly enjoyed it. When I got home it was still light so I managed to spread the second of my bags of mulch on another flowerbed. I have got 4 bags left and I think they might finish the beds in the back garden. I will then buy some more for my side garden and front garden. Off for a shower now and going to have a good read of my book soon. Now that the weather is a bit warmer and it is staying lighter longer, I am hoping to get my act together and get a few chores done.

Today the north west has seen the most beautiful weather for a change. I was up very early and back from the park with her ladyship before 7am. Got on the scales and had lost 1lb. I am really trying not to lose any more weight and am trying to get the balance right between eating and exercise. Next week I hope to stay at the same weight. This morning I went to my dance aerobics class which i really enjoyed then did 40 minutes on the running machine. Called at the bakery outlet on the way home and bought a huge bag of rocky road which is now portioned up and in the freezer. Cost £1.20p. On and off all day I have been spreading the mulch in my garden. The back garden is completed and looks stunning. It has cost me about £28 but it actually has made such definition to the garden that it looks like i have paid a gardener. I went to Wickes and bought 3 more bags which hopefully should cover my side garden and part of the front. I am going to try to get some more of it done over the next few days. Tonight has been hospital visiting again to see my aunt.
Off for a shower now and hopefully get time for a bit of a read before bed. I hope everyone has had a great moneysaving day x0 -
Had an enjoyable day today and its been busy, just how I like it !! Up early again and back from the park before 7am this morning. Got cracking with a few chores. Bedding washed along with the bath towels and on the lie to dry before i went off to the town centre gym for my Friday legs, bums and tums class. Only did 20 minutes on the running machine as I don't want to lose any more weight. I could start to look a bit too skinny and that can be aging. Spent a couple of pounds in Mr S. Bought cheese, bread, 2 tins of custard and a tin of rice pudding. After lunch I bombed off to Wickes and bought the last of the mulch I will need for the garden. In total I will have spent £56 but the garden will look fabulous. I have decided to do lots of jobs to my property now the weather is a bit warmer/lighter. It has made me feel a bit more enthusiastic about tackling some overdue jobs. Mid afternoon I went to the cinema and watched "The place beyond the Pines" which was a thriller and was really quite good. Also got time to make a cheese and onion pie (which is now in the freezer) before this evenings hospital visiting. My aunt is supposed to be moving to a nursing home on Monday so visiting times wont be quite as restrictive as the hospital. In fact I will be able to call on my way back from the gym instead of making a special journey at night.
Anyway I hope everyone has had a great moneysaving day x0 -

Hi Jazee - Thanks for dropping by. Nice to hear from you x
Had a nice day so far today. Its my birthday so I have had loads of cards, texts, pressies, messages and visitors. I was up extra early as usual and back from the park before 7am. Took myself off to zumba this morning and had a ball. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. On and off this afternoon I have done quite a bit of work on my side garden (stained a fence and mulched the flower bed) and stopped off to make drinks for my visitors. The plan for tonight is to get my feet up and have a nice relax ready for a busy day tomorrow. The only area of my garden which needs some tlc is my front garden. I have left the area which needs the most work till last ! I have had the front windows of my house cleaned this morning free of charge. There has been some demolition work locally and because its been very dirty in the area, the contractor as a goodwill gesture cleaned all our windows. The stone plinth above my front bay window has been repaired and needs repainting. Also I need to weed and mulch the front garden and do a few other small jobs
I hope everyone has had a great moneysaving day x0 -
