I love the jelly feeling in my legs when I've exercised a lot! No pain, no gain!

Hi Polesalot - Oh you know the jelly legs feeling too. ! After work today I went to the gym and had an hour on the running machine and my legs are pretty giddy now. But I love feeling really good because I have exercised !! Hope you and your daughter are well x x

Feel really tired now. Went to work at the crack of dawn and left after lunch. Work was so so - but I am lucky to have a job so I shouldn't complain. Had a bit of a spend on the way home - LPG - £24.77 and called at Aldi and bought some food !!! Yes food !!. I bought a small gammon to cook in the slow cooker and a block of cheese. I want to use up a couple of tins of pineapple i have in the cupboard so gammon, cheese and pineapple will be eaten in the next couple of weeks. I also bought a small bag of new potatoes. Spent £6.47. The plan now is to buy some bits of food but only to use with other stuff I have got in stock. I am planning on buying some chicken soon as i want to use up some packet sauces which require chicken and have been lurking in the cupboard since Adam was a lad.
After Aldi I went to the gym and had an hour on the running machine. According to the machine I used up over 700kcals. Sound like a good deal as I really enjoyed the exercise. Took Sid for half an hour in the park to get rid of all her energy.
The plan for tonight is to have some food then have a read of my book and maybe a bit of googling.
I hope everyone is having a great moneysaving day x :)

Wow am I tired again. Thankfully my working week is over !! Work was actually rather a drag today, not much to do. I left early afternoon after doing my 9 hour shift. Went to the gym on the way home and did another hour on the running machine. Although I feel tired, I feel great ! Perhaps its a good thing I am doing quite a lot of exercise at the moment because one of my lovely work friends bought me a massive Thornton's Easter egg which comes with plenty of continentals. Wonderful !!
Took Sid in the park for a good run round.....and that's my day so far. The plan tonight is to make a couple of phone calls and chill out with my book. I am planning on a bit of a busy day tomorrow so think i should get my feet up tonight and get a full nights sleep.
I hope everyone is having a great moneysaving day x :)

I've felt really tired recently and so have a lot of people i've spoken to. I wonder if it's the awful weather wearing everyone down?

Polesalot - You are probably right about the weather being a major factor to people being down in the dumps. I know part of my problem has been, shall we say, a pestering ex trying to get back in my life. As for now I am quite determined to remain single so he has been a bit of a nuisance. Anyway I think he has finally taken NO to mean NO ! As a consequence my mood has lifted and I feel great again. A bit of exercise also helps ! Have fun at Easter x
Today has been really enjoyable. I was up very early and out with the dog before 7am. Just a quick once around the park but she is happy with that. I then walked to town to the gym and had my dance aerobics class. Afterwards I decided to have another hour on the running machine and felt fabulous when i had finished it. Took myself off round the town afterwards and had a small spend - £2.49 on a huge box of my favourite tea bags, 30p on beef stock cubes and 53p for some face cream !!! I should explain - I have had a Boots gift card languishing in my purse for about 18 months so I used it up to buy 2 tubs of face cream which I will be needing very soon. I only had to add 53p to the purchase. I am starting to buy one or two items of food at the moment but I am only buying what I need and nothing else ! Over the weekend i will buy some vegetables to make a Thai gree curry. I have got the paste and the coconut milk so i might as well use everything up.
On the way back I called at the local library and reserved a few books i fancy reading when they are returned. I am still wading through all the books i have got on my bookcase, but i must say it is looking a lot less full these days. Most nights I get my feet up for an hour and just have a good read. I thoroughly enjoy it.
I might have another count up of my £2 coin stash later. Not sure what I will do with it yet but its nice to know I have a little fund of cash in case I need it. The last lot I used was for one of my sons car tax. I try to help them when I can as motoring for young men is very expensive. I know my sons appreciate everything I do for them financially and they help me where they can with other things - ie. computer repairs and heavy jobs etc which i would struggle with.
Plans for tonight - Feet up and a read.
I hope everyone is having a great moneysaving day. x :)

I have had a nice relaxing day today. However I think i deserve it after the nights sleep I have had......or rather the lack of it !! One of my smoke detectors was bleeping so I ended up getting up to get the ladders to remove it. I took the first one down, got back in bed and was nodding off and it continued bleeping. To cut a long story short I had to remove 3 alarm before the bleeping stopped. When I got up this morning I felt like I had been out for a night on the tiles. Anyway My firsts job this morning was to sort out the smoke alarms with new batteries where appropriate and put them back.
Took Sid for a walk in the park then went to the cinema to meet up with the usual crowd. I did something today I haven't done before. I watched 2 films back to back. First up was Jack the Giant Slayer, followed by Trance. I thoroughly enjoyed both films. I wouldn't normally go and see 2 films but as the gym was closed and all the exercise classes were cancelled, I thought it was a great idea. Called at Asda on the way home and bought some milk and some paracetamol - spent £1.44
Not much to do tonight so I am going to have a good old read. I have just started a new book by Patricia Cornwell -0 The Scarpetta factor.
I hope everyone is having a great moneysaving day x :)

Today has been a nice day for me. I seem to be getting up earlier and earlier though. I think its because the mornings are so light. I was off with Sidney before 7am for our walk. That gave me chance to do a few chores before i set off for my walk to my zumba class. Really enjoyed myself ! This afternoon I have been visiting my aunt and cousin and had a few hours just chatting. Very nice ! I called at Aldi on the way home and bought some of the super 6 veg as I am planning on making a couple of curries tomorrow because my sons are visiting. I am going to make a chicken curry and also a veg green Thai curry. So I bought some parsnips, carrots and some new potatoes. Total spend £1.47. I don't think I will use all the veg in the Thai curry so the plan is to make some soup with the remainder. I decided to start a new book today as the Patricia Cornwell one was just too hard going for me. I am now reading Starburst by Robin Pilcher. In the past I would have continued reading a book whether I liked it or not. Not now. I did read about 80 pages and it was like pushing an elephant up the stairs. Now in the charity shop pile. I had another use up of toiletries - small pot of body lotion.
The plan tonight is to get my feet up as I am really tired after all today's walking and my zumba class. Think I will be having a good read as well.
I hope everyone is having a great moneysaving day x :)

Happy Easter everyone. Its been a nice day today. Took her ladyship to the park first thing this morning. It is just so peaceful before the world and his wife get up ! Went to my bellydancing class which was on despite it being Easter Sunday. Also had half an hour on the running machine in the gym afterwards. This afternoon has been spent doing chores for a change. Submitted my weekly gas/electric reading to the robbing b@stards British Gas. I know I could go on direct debit but i just feel so much in control paying for my utilities as i use them. Also made 2 huge pans of curry for tea. One was a chicken curry and the other was a Thai green curry using up a load of vegetables. The chicken curry has all gone as my sons made light work of it. The Thai veg one has been portioned up and made 4 ready meals. I managed to use a few things up which have been lurking - coconut milk, dried milk, curry mix. My store cupboard is looking rather depleted but i think i will still be able to manage food wise for another 2 weeks at least. I cant believe I have managed to do this - I have hardly bought any food at all since mid December and have used just tons of stuff up. I must have had hundreds of pounds of food in my freezer and cupboard !
Anyway I am going to make a couple of phone calls and have a good old read again !
I hope everyone is having a great moneysaving Easter x :)

Wow its gone cold again today ! I was up nice and early with the hound and off to the park. I am still doing my usual and collecting loads of recycling as I am out and about. There must ne a massive litter problem where I live. In 11 days I have filled 2 bins full of cans and bottles. Some people are just so scruffy, dropping all these cans instead of putting them in a bin. Rant over !
Even though its Easter Monday, the gym was open today so I went and did an hour on the running machine. I am feeling really toned up nowadays. I got on the scales first thing this morning and I have lost exactly 2 stone since 1/1/13. I am going to try and stay the same or roundabout this weight for now. All my clothes are massive so methinks its time for a spot of shopping soon.
On my way back from the gym I called in at Asda and spent £2.11. I bought some pizza base mix, 2 boxes of fruit tea and a tin of mushrooms. I have plans afoot for later in the week. I might have a baking day again soon.
This afternoon I decided to have a lounge about as none of my friends wanted to play out. I actually watched an hour of TV - Superscrimpers challenge. It was OK i suppose. The plan now is to spend the evening having a read and make a few phone calls. I have to be up extra early in the morning so I might even have an early night.
I hope everyone is having a great moneysaving day x :)

All I can say is thank God yesterday is over. I had to go into hospital for treatment and didnt know if I would be staying in or coming out. Most of yesterday was spent in a blur and i felt like in had been hit by a bus due to the drugs.....however today is another day. I am at home and feel great. Might try a bit of exercise later if I feel OK. Have a good day everyone x
