This is exactly why I don't leave feedback as soon as I'm paid ...

I have never understood why buyers don't contact sellers if there is a 'problem' and just go ahead and leave neg feedback .
Have you emailed the buyer at all? I would be interested to hear what their reasoning is for not contacting you...0 -
I don't really see what I have to gain for contacting this dimwit. I emailed them to confirm that I'd received their payment, they replied to say they were looking forward to getting the game - so it's not as if I've been uncommunicative.
I've actually got another five copies of the game in my drawer ... if there was really a problem they could have returned it and I'd have sent a replacement.
My guess is they're embarassed because they bought it and then realised they couldn't play on their computer or something, and this is their solution.
Still considering what, if anything, I should leave in response. Am considering a neutral with a comment along the lines of "Beware - user has a trigger happy feedback finger!"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also ...0 -
i would him a neg saying, 'Doesnt contact seller to resolve problems before leaving feedback'0
-
Also you can reply to feedback and i would do so saying - 'I would have helped resolved this but wasnt given the chance'0

If you can't see why, you are as bad as the buyer.
Ebay state in their terms that the first thing to do when something goes wrong is to make contact to see if the problem can be amicably settled.
sellers are often portrayed as the bad guys, more often than not it's muppet buyers TSFE who cause the problems, when they go round negging everyone they buy from, they probably see it as a game - "lets play ruin a sellers feedback".

Hmm, well I already replied to the feedback ... a little grumpily, it has to be said. I said something to the effect of "Did you try contacting me about this? No! Thanks for nothing ..."
Not sure that negative feedback is warranted, I hate revenge feedback - whether giving or receiving. Plus I'm not out of pocket. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also ...0 -
Just a tip... sigs may indicate a poster's true agenda :rolleyes:My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Where are all of the "Seller should leave feedback first" uber-zealots? Not sharing opinion?
I wonder why?<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

Just off topic slightly. I'm a ebay buyer, not a seller, and I've paid for a few items by postal order. I always send them crossed for security but one seller said 'as it was crossed I had to pay it into my bank and will send the item when its cleared'.
I dont have a problem with waiting until its cleared but it set me wondering if anyone has ever had a dud postal order?
Also, I've always understood that sending an uncrossed postal order is not secure as its possible for anyone to cash it.... don't throw the string away. You always need string!
