This is exactly why I don't leave feedback as soon as I'm paid ...

I sold a brand new PC game on eBay last week, the buyer sent me £10 by postal order (which, incidentally, arrived in an envelope that was scrunched up looked like it had been pulled through six hedges). I posted the game off, checked my feedback today to see that he's left me a neg simply saying "did not work".
Well, given that it was brand new I am extremely doubtful that it does not work unless he doesn't have a PC good enough to play it on. But that aside, did he bother to contact me about it at all? Of course not!
I would happily have had it back and refunded, but no - he'd rather just neg me without even letting me know that he'd received the damn thing, never mind that he couldn't get it to work.
So yes, I am very glad that I've not yet left him his feedback. Not even that I would necessarily give him a neg - but I would be regretting it very much had I left a positive for someone who then behaved like this. Not a positive experience at all.
Now my feedback ratio is down to 99.7%. The other three negs are all from non-paying bidders that I negged before they brought in the removal of negs from buyers who don't respond to the NPB process ... Ah well. There's always going to be idiots out there, I guess. And at least he paid by postal order, so I'm don't have to worry about chargebacks on top of unwarranted negative feedback.

can't you e mail him to do a refund and pull the neg somehowliving on the "edge"0

Why refund? The guy has closed the transaction with his neg. If buyers do that to me they will get very little help from there on in!!0

What was his feedback?0

How quickly was the postal order sent, and was it crossed?
If it came quickly and uncrossed, surely returning a positive for prompt payment is in order, because they completed their part of the transaction...<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
If I was the seller there is no way I would give the buyer positive feedback. They certainly don't deserve it.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Ebay is starting to bug me now, listed some tins on ebay, all new, and some sold, so they were all sent off, seller then neutrals us, saying its damaged, without messaging us first, we'd had happily sent out another one, and they were all brand new and apart from me taking out the demo booklet, untouched. Why can't people just enquire before jumping into things?~*Cerenia*~

No. To me a transaction is not complete until the buyer is happy with the item that they have received. eBay relies on communication between both parties and if an unhappy buyer cannot communicate effectively with the seller to notify them of a problem then why should they receive a positive feedback rating.
If I did end up leaving neutral/negative feedback I would comment on quick payment if that were the case and also mention poor communication skills. Therefore, leaving feedback at the very end is allowing me to reflect on the whole transaction rather than just the buyer paying.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--
