For once I agree 100% with you.HAMISH_MCTAVISH wrote: »You're right. People shouldn't let their kids behave like that.
But in my experience, far too many do.
And just to get my point on the record here, I don't hate kids. I do however think that far too many parents have no idea how to control their children's behaviour in public, and have no idea what acceptable public behaviour is.0 -

Generation X and Y are all paying for people to have pensions we will never receive ourselves.
We are Generation X, and we pay more in tax alone every year than the average household earns in total.
I don't like paying as much tax as I do, but of all the reasons why, that one doesn't even register on the radar.
The old of today have paid in all their lives expecting a pension and healthcare to be there. It should be there. End of story.
I don't expect to get the same benefits, and am planning accordingly.
But I don't resent paying for todays pensioners to get what they are owed.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

hang on hamish, i am no longer getting what i was promised when i entered the workplace (owed?) part of that adjustment is due to the fact no adjustment was made to current recipients.
that fundamentally needs correction. together with cuts to the cuts to the nhs and less life prolonging procedures, instead focussing on quality of remaining life that will
1) be cheaper
2) will reduce the average life expectancy of pensioners and thus further cut the deficit.0 -

Couldnt disagree more.
You're an idiot if you think killing old people is a good way to tackle a deficit problem.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Better to kill young people, the parts are worth quite a lot.0 -

You are misinformed. HIS taxes and NIC he paid ALL HIS LIFE have already been spent. The funding of his state pension, NHS care, etc etc will be entirely dependent on there being other people paying tax and NIC. If there aren't any, then he's .....suburbanwifey wrote: »You call him scum? what does that make you?

We don't value those that look after children. If you look at earnings, those who look after children are paid very poorly, which is bizzare considering how important this is!
My wife would love to work with children - she is a PA at present but can't afford to HALF her wage in order to look after human beings rather than piles of paper!0 -
Halve it again if you want to look at looking after vulnerable adults. We don't value those that look after children. If you look at earnings, those who look after children are paid very poorly, which is bizzare considering how important this is!
