where's the pictures? do you want to try and work out what the problem is or is the aim to just get a 20% refund?

This post has had some really helpful answers up to now and up to now i have really appreciated the sensible questions and answers.

Surveyor came measured, um'd and ahh'd, thought it was ok, phoned the Bosch tech team, they said they have to be 450 above as per their installation instructions. Phoned Gas Safe to ask them, they said you have to follow MI's.
Has now arranged Gas Safe to visit to tell him to his face.
They just wont be told. I've given them 14 days to correct it to my satisfaction or they can rip the lot out and i'll go elsewhere. :mad:

the guys here after 3 pages of great advice have been trying to get to the bottom of the problem but you don't seem to be helping them much.

Give them the measurements and pictures they ask for and the problem will be solved, it's quite simple really.

It's now solved thanks, the Bosch engineer came out today and said it wasn't fitted correctly, the Units must be 450mm up from the burners, if they're not then there must be a 150 mm space from the side of the hob to the unit whether it's a wall unit or the side of a larder unit it doesn't matter.

Over to B&Q now to come up with an acceptable solution before Friday, i gave them a deadline of 7 days which ends on Friday to sort it or take it away and they agreed that it was unacceptable to be messed around like we have been and agreed to the date.
