"underside of the coving above the unit" I thought was said. But I would agree with you if they've installed a massive cornice underneath the units instead of a pelmet that could be an alternative root of the problem.Well, he did say underside of units!
OP how about some pics? Yes I know you are a new user but you can take some pics, upload them to imageshack or photobucket and when the hosting site gives you a link paste it into a post but before you hit submit remove the http bit so that the forum software just sees it as text. One of us can then put the missing part of the url back in, relink it and we can all see the pics.

Yes I know - we were typing at the same time. Actually in an earlier post cddc and I were also typing at the same time and both saying much the same thing on a different matter.southcoastrgi wrote: »................

Agree pics would really help!
If you are right and that is what the OP means that would mean the top of the tower unit being only 2050mm from floor, which would be at least 100mm lower than you would normally expect.....0 -
that's a good thing KS it means we are all on the same wavelength & hopefully we can help the OP have a less stressful lifeI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

Indeed so and so magically a 350mm vertical separation can easily become a 450mm vertical separation and the problem is solved - barring the extra fitters time to rehang all the wall cabs of course.Agree pics would really help!

Could it be that you have been supplied 900mm wall units with the smaller larder unit which should only be used with their 720mm wall units?0

I originally thought this might be the case but that would lead to a difference of more than 100mm......0 -
but she is measuring from the top of the gas hob and not the worktop. It was worth a mention I thought. Both you and me know a gap of 350 between hob and bottom of wall units is not the standard and imo way to small0

Not being funny but yes I thought of that with the OPs desire to create maximum space. If the original design was created with the smaller cab but when the design was modified to put 900 units in they forgot to change the appliance unit to the taller one that would account for it. I've located the assembly instructions for both tall cabinets but unfortunately they are not dimensioned.Steve_the_fitter wrote: »Could it be that you have been supplied 900mm wall units with the smaller larder unit which should only be used with their 720mm wall units?
