I was going to buy some pots of retro sweeties for the older boys in the family but then I spotted some little wheelie bins in £land they are technically for rubbish on your desk but I thought they would be cute with bags of sweeties in and a scratch card so I nipped back today and bought 4,Clearing the junk to travel light

I have some of those cardboard Popcorn cartons. Any creative ideas how to use them as a craft xmas present? I could do home made popcorn I suppose. Not made it for years. Any ideas?Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

As I said I don't drink hot chocolate or any other hot drinks come to that hence my question so I have no idea what I want in a drinking chocolate because I don't drink it! Thanks for your reply anyway.0 -

I don't drink hot chocolate either, so buy the single serving sachets, or Cadbury's as I like their chocolatesSmiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

I'm quite fussy with hot chocolate but love Cadburys, when I do santa soup I buy the sachets of hot choc,
These are just my thoughts on other hot choc
Galaxy - very milky taste, - feels more milk than chocolate taste
Maltesters - Dont find it as chocy, more like a horlicks taste to me
Aero drinks - I think the original ok, but mint etc I think there a personal taste factor,
cadburys - you can't go wrong with xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Brilliant ideas! Why didn't I think of that? You are all so creative.
What a clever idea jezebel to use cardboard boxes covered in wrapping paper. Love the idea of a cheap DVD too got-it-spend-it.
Thank you!
The only other gift idea I was thinking about was a green themed one. So a box with seeds and maybe even a small potted xmas tree. But I don't think you can buy the latter that cheaply. Actually I suppose it doesn't have to be an xmas tree. It could be a small fruit tree which Lidl sometimes sell cheap.got-it-spend-it wrote: »Movie night hampers with a bag of sweets, pack of microwave popcorn and a cheap DVD?hi i had some last year turned them into movie night in boxes small bag popcorn the ones they sell in 6s butterkist type , jellies, and candyfloss in a tub in mine but whatever you would eat while watching a movie cellophaned and gift tag . or movie night in hamper couple of boxes of popcorn chocs jellies drinks and maybe a movie put in a nice box and cellophaned x a bit like this one i did.Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. I'm not very crafty and I had some ambitious keyring ideas for Christmas but they've fallen to the wayside due to lack of time!
So I will be making this year chocolate fudge, honeycomb and Christmas brownies (contain dried cranberries and white chocolate chips).
My friend had some wee baskets going spare that I've bought off her and I got some basket bags (cellophane bags with a holly print) from Lakeland. I've got clear bags to put my treats in too and I've got some spare ribbon somewhere for tying.
I will probably make 5 baskets for my close girl friends containing fudge, honeycomb and brownies (and possibly some socks from Primark!) and give the people I am less close to just a small bag of one of the things I've made. It will be about £5 max for a basket and about 50 - 75p for a bag of one sweet treat.
I'm planning to make them the weekend after this so watch this space...0
