£85 gas and £60 electric. I am just asking because mine seems phenomenally high. It's just an average 3 bed semi.

Can you tell me now? :)
  • 3 bed detached.

    £40 electric

£83 for both - about 50/50. Large(ish) 3 bed semi - 2 people living here most of the time (both out during the day).

Heating/water on for an hour in the morning (6.30am - 7.30am).
TV left on all day (for the dog!).
    Heating/water on for 5 hours in the evening (4.30pm - 9.30pm).
Gas fire on for a couple of hours if VERY chilly.
CH stat set at around 19 degrees.

It really depends on many factors such as number of people, if people are at home all day, settings etc. So many variables.

Do you mean actual use or what you have your direct debit set to?

Actual use (1 bed flat, electric only) is 20-30 in Summer, 40-50 in Winter. Yet my DD is £65 a month :D Which I don't mind, as when I switch, it will be a tiny "windfall", and they give me 3% interest on the balance too.
    Saving in 2013 (#98): £270/£3000
  • Live in a 2 bed detatched and pay £75 for the two.

Yes, I can tell you now....
We both live in a 3 bed semi.
Yours £145 v mine £66.12 DD per month = you are paying over double what I pay. 4 adults living here.

We are low users because I have put the homework in over time. At my highest a few years ago we paid £95, I have worked on cutting down since, as prices rise.

  • Can anyone tell me whether these agreements are with the person or with the property?

I have one of theses agreements, and if I move to another address with the same type of mix of gas and electricity, can I expect the company to honour the agreement I have, as it doesn't run out until 2014 and I am benefiting from it. It would simply mean I move so therefore the agreement should be with me, not any particualr address?

I would like some advice because if I put this to the company, I want to know where I stand if they say I have to start a new agreement which would be less beneficial for me.

    Thanks ........Vicky M
