I've just found that the IE in Windows 8 isn't supported by my company's payroll system.
Just so you know, there are two IE systems in Windows 8.
The app that runs from the start screen that has java, flash, Silverlight etc plugins disabled. So it's a pure HTML5 browser and there's also IE that runs within the desktop app that still supports all the plugins.0 -
no chance...
ubuntuFeudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
I was wondering why the desktop was defaulting to the basic display with solid square window borders, but it appears that they have taken out the Aero transparency options that allow you to have translucent window borders.
You still get it on the task bar, but windows have plain borders.
What did they do - fire all of their UI designers and developers?0 -

Unfortunately I have already loaded it onto my Daughters laptop and also mine, with only one left to go I was planning to load it onto my other Daughters pc so that will have already used up the three licences. Will do as you suggest and give M/S a ring.0
