Ok, I have got the land registry document and googled the owners name. It confirms that he was charged with murder in following a fatal car crash in of that year, killing his sister.

It can still easily be identified through Google!!!! Can you please STOP being so thoughtless/ cruel/ inconsiderate/ laissez faire with someone else's private information? None of us need to know any of this, what are you trying to achieve?

This thread has been reported and I hope others do the same.
Under the mental health act this man has a right to privacy. It's the law and posting details is disgusting! And the person who has put up such info could be prosecuted.

Seems to me he's going to stir up a witch hunt.

The incident happened late one year and in the first month of the following year the second incident happened ....presumably before his medication was correctly balanced. After several years of treatment and observation he is allowed limited freedom but still required to return to the unit where any signs of deterioration would be noticed and dealt with. I think there is a far greater risk from YOUR actions on here triggering a meltdown than anything else. Please edit your posts.

We also now know the OP's address, daughter details and that his wife is pregnant.
Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed. ;)

Looking at your street I'd be more worried about the neighbour with the England flag across the front door .

Where does it say the OP's wife and children could be in danger?
..... it is my wife that harbours the concerns....
She's pregnant and it is understandable that she is feeling concerned; I hope she isn't feeling frightened or intimidated though?

People often have preconceived ideas of mental health, particularly schizophrenia. Perhaps research the condition so you can give her (informed) reassurances? People tend to fear what that do not understand.

A poster above recommended contacting the Police; I would suggest you contact their Crime Prevention Officer - not with this specific neighbour in mind, but to assess the general security of your property.

If you think watching CSI is at the root of her concerns, perhaps suggest she watches something more upbeat during the rest of her pregnancy?

I worked for an organisation which acted as a halfway house for those who had suffered, or were suffering, with mental health issues in the days when "care in the community" was on the brink of being introduced. There were a few times when one of other of the residents were in complete meltdown. It was distressing for them, it was upsetting to witness but at no time did I feel I was in danger (maybe I was naive). Primarily, they were so frightened of what was going on in their heads and so fearful of everything around them they were not focussing on me. As you say, the person you are referring to believed it was his sister (someone very close to him!) who posed a threat - not a neighbour ;)

I think, if his own mother can forgive him when she lost her own daughter at the hands of her son, we should at least show some tolerance and compassion: certainly the law has ;)

It's either that, or, you consider selling up (if that is what it takes to give your wife peace of mind) but selling up is a bit extreme.

I do hope you find a way to give your wife peace of mind whether it be through knowledge of this persons condition, having your house security checked out professionally, watching less thought provoking dramatisations, all of those or moving.
