Love Film - Do Not Subscribe

Do not subscribe this - whatever deal they offer you - it is a con.

Basically you sign up with the offer a a free something - and a free trial - but you need to select 10 items for the free trial - or else it isn't free.

Once you have signed - up - you can not cancel - if you have any films - or if they have posted any films to you

if you change your package - you are immediatley charged.

I am currently reporting them to trADING STANDARDS - In the meantime

    Really....?
  • of course you can't cancel if you currently have a disc of theirs in your possession. it does state that clearly in the T&C.

it's quite easy to do if you plan ahead and don't leave it till the day before to cancel. clear your list so that when they get the last disc back, they don't send another...

We are with Lovefilm and have not had any problems......before that we were with another similar company (owned by the same people I think) and it was fairly easy to cancel, I just wiped clean our list of 'wanted' DVDs so it couldn't send the next one, returned the last one I had, then cancelled by email.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Chill out, it would have taken as much time unsubscribing online after 10pm as it did starting this thread. (which is in the wrong place btw)

i'mjust coming to the end of a 3 month trial (which i must say has been fine, good service etc) but now i'm wnating to cancel before the payments start:

i tried to unsubscribe online and it wont let me, it says i have to ring the helpline. i did that, and they would not let me, telling me i have to do it in the last week which made me suspicious

i have also sent them a letter in the envelope when i have returned a dvd stating i want to cancel and on what date, which they did acknowledge: i think if you do it in writing, companies tend to have to respond (?)

thanks for the tip raspberryswirl about clearing your list so they cant 'accidentally' keep sending them, it sounds obvious but i hadnt though of it!
