6 weeks isn't bad, if the way time is flying just now is anything to go by. Well done for ringing them up. I really think this might help you a lot.

Lol do you ever feel like a real hypocrite giving others advice and applauding them for things that you don't do yourself? :o

I was just counting up yesterday, and it is just over 8 months since Alan was diagnosed and only 3 month come Saturday ince he paed away. It seems ages since he died, I was amazed that it was only 3 months coming up :( I had lost the bit of paper I'd written the telephone number on when the doc's secretary had rang amongst all my other bits of paper on my desk ;) and I nearly put it off, but looked it up online and rang them in case I conveniently 'forgot' about it - not that you lot would let me forget ;) :A

I think we are all much better at giving advice than taking it :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh, mad mad springers  Lovely dogs :D We always had dogs for the 30+ year we were married, and for most of that time, we had two. When we had to have our first dog put to sleep, I was devastated, as I'd had him for 5 years before we married and 5 years after, we lasted 36 hours before we got another one. Someone brought a kitten round for us to see if we wanted it, but no, a kitten i lovely, but sorry cat people no substitute for a dog. All our dogs have been rescued from city pounds, rescue centres or from friends of friends, except the two I have now. Bess we got as a pup for our Silver Wedding Anniversary, but even then we did not pay for her. Someone Alan worked with had her sister staying with her, who wanted some welding done on a boat they had and had a litter of Jacks, so we did a switch, Alan did the welding and we got our pup. And Molly, although she came as a 10 week old pup, was a reject we got for free ;) :rotfl: :rotfl:
We missed out on this only got dogs after about 20years of marriage dont quote me on that :) Live and learn unfortunately no going back 20 + years to get a pup.
Rejects for free how you get one of those :D
I did sy to the SIL dont look for a pup if you are not 100% sure as they are so cute

I can't join in with the dog talk as I am a cat person. ;) But Mr TS is neither so no pets at the moment. I may persuade him one day I guess but don't hold out much hope. I do miss the cuddles with my cats, they came as part of a package with me when we first moved in together. :o

I guess part of my day was a good one, I ordered 2 new chocolate leather sofas from Argos and got £100 off using a code, just over £400 for the two including delivery. My family do a very good job at wearing sofas out so hoping a leather will last longer, never had one before. Was nice to be able to just spend the money without any worry. :)

Think a few of us on that rollercoaster. Glad you are feeling a bit better 3dogs. :)

I have had a bit of an evening with mum. :( I hate coming home and leaving her but know that eventually the time will come when I won't have the choice and have to stay so I do slip out and come home for the time being.

Thanks hun. I know how hard it must be with you caring for your Mum (((hugs))) but great to see you posting
