That's true and very profound; take solace that it's a crappy system which could be changed by writing to your council/MP whichever is relevant. Hope all goes well for you

    Morning
Not a good me though, off to get bloods done as been feeling very sore for a few weeks.
I wouldn't have bothered but DS said something on Friday night which made me realise I may have a problem. Getting my CRP checked, don't want to end up in hospital again but fear it might just happen :(
Either way I'll enjoy today with DS who know what tomorrow will bring.
    Catch up later.

Hope the resultss are better than you are expecting SD ((hugs))
    Hello artha :)

Have you tried Asda opticians? They are ridiculously cheap and have a set price regardless of prescription - £99 for designer Varifocals or £79 for standard varifocals.

    http://www.asda-contactlenses.co.uk/opticians/complete-pricing/

I have a complex prescription (-10, -11) and normally my lenses alone set me back at least £300, I've been able to get mine for under £100 with Asda for a few years now - it's an excellent deal IMHO. For me it's worth the extended trip as I save so much.

Loving all the talk of varifocals tonight. Thanks to the lovely Fudge_Cake, I now have a better understanding of what to expect when I pick mine up this coming Saturday   from Specsavers by the way
