Yes, the roller coaster of live eh? Felling better right now but had a yukky day like you hun
aw isn't the roller coaster a blast:o am still reading back and glad to see you are at least a way to getting things sorted. My GP offered me counselling as well, with a warning that the waiting list is long. So I joined the list anyway...maybe I won't need it by the time my turn comes up:o0 -

I rang CRUSE today, lady was lovely, and chatted with me about things. She put me on the list but said it will be about 6 weeks, then I will be contacted by someone to arraqnge a visit. The counsellor will visit me each week, on the same day, for 6 weeks and then see how I feel as to whether I need further help, such as group sessions. They do coffee mornings and such like but that is all based in Cambridge and Ely, too far away for me. I'll see how things goMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

My name is a bit of a cheat these days David. We had 3 Dogs Bonnie, Bess and Billy, when I registered with MSE. Our eldest Bonnie had to be put to sleep in January this year, good old girl
When Mr 3Dogs was diagnosed with terminal cancer in February, we had to rehome the larger dog Billy as he would have been too strong for me to handle, as Mr 3Dogs was already struggling with him as he'd got stronger and outgrew our Jack Russells. Meanwhile, I had taken in a cairn/yorkie cross puppy who was looking for a good home after being return to the breeder. So I now have Bess, our 8 1/2 year old very rough coated Jack Russell, and Molly, the pup who is 10 moinths old now
What dogs do you have David?
The eldest poor thing Bailey full of energy after a bath has had 4 surgerys on her back leg and we are off to cramlington tomorrow to see if they can do anything. As the other orthopedic surgeon said thats as far as he can go without amputation not bad for about £6000.
We took out insurance with more than would recommend it to anybody they have paid everything so far without any problems.
The youngest Dexter is just mad.
Since we got the dogs the house has never been so dirty walls at about a foot covered in mud, dog hairs no matter how much you hoover, dust from them rolling in mud then drying out in house and generously spreading it.
Would I be without them never the love a dog gives you is amazing.
If you have one you know what I mean if not you need to get one or two or even 3dogsWhen The Fun Stops Stop0 -

6 weeks isn't bad, if the way time is flying just now is anything to go by. Well done for ringing them up. I really think this might help you a lot.
Lol do you ever feel like a real hypocrite giving others advice and applauding them for things that you don't do yourself?0 -

Think a few of us on that rollercoaster. Glad you are feeling a bit better 3dogs.
I have had a bit of an evening with mum.I hate coming home and leaving her but know that eventually the time will come when I won't have the choice and have to stay so I do slip out and come home for the time being.
fairclaire, I hope you have a better day tomorrow, sometimes the rollercoaster can be a good ride.0 -

Oh, mad mad springers  Lovely dogsWe always had dogs for the 30+ year we were married, and for most of that time, we had two. When we had to have our first dog put to sleep, I was devastated, as I'd had him for 5 years before we married and 5 years after, we lasted 36 hours before we got another one. Someone brought a kitten round for us to see if we wanted it, but no, a kitten i lovely, but sorry cat people no substitute for a dog. All our dogs have been rescued from city pounds, rescue centres or from friends of friends, except the two I have now. Bess we got as a pup for our Silver Wedding Anniversary, but even then we did not pay for her. Someone Alan worked with had her sister staying with her, who wanted some welding done on a boat they had and had a litter of Jacks, so we did a switch, Alan did the welding and we got our pup. And Molly, although she came as a 10 week old pup, was a reject we got for free
