Morning all
Can I ask the parents of older kids a question please
Those of you that have put their kids through driving lessons. How many should I be expecting to have to pay for to get a 17 year old girl with zero driving experience through her test?
Taking her out in my own car is difficult as it is not your normal everyday car.
Thanks for any advice in advance :-)
Bank of dad would of liked it in 12 lessons!

Cost us well over 1k it's the driving schools they like to spin it out,at the 12month mark we bought D/D a car ,I took her every night driving for six weeks ,I was weary with it .
She took her test straight after the six weeks passed first time, she said I had taught her so much more about real driving, did't have any minusses on her test,I was well chuffed.
In hind sight (a wonderful thing) I would have bought a cheap but safe car and taught her along side her lessons ,a much cheaper option imo.0 -

I can't see any comments about it.
Thanks in advance.
No PPs or APGs (unless you get a clueless SA)
I was told its only coupons given to you, mailed to you (except CC vouchers) or cut from a mag. Nothing you can print out should be accepted

If people have got access to a car then once they are well on the way they can clock up a few hours driving I am sure that helps a lot.
But we just used the instructor because it would have been all out war with me and eldest learning to drive.
Plus like someone else mentioned I would not even consider taking them on normal roads to start with without dual controls
The most scariest thing of bringing up children is teaching them to drive.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. It is so so lovely having both my children home. (DS1 is now at home having finished uni, DS2 went to uni as DS1 returned - so they have not both been living at home for 4 years).
Just nice to see how they interact. They are now 22 & 18. Last night they were "walking" through uni town in google street view discussing where they shop, where they club etc.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
