Feeling blue this morning two years ago we were robbed of my Dad by mesothelioma. Miss him so much,, and so annoyed that he hasnt been able to see my boys growing up. They thought he was great really fun loving. We are all going to my mums today for dinner with my brother and sister and families and sending lanterns up for Dad.
Why do the good go
Big hugs from me, it's walways hard on anniversaries, my mum's birthday is coming on the 13th November, I miss her even though she's been gone more than 30 years, it's what they miss of your own family that hurts too,
Enjoy remembering the good times, they were the ones that countWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

If people have got access to a car then once they are well on the way they can clock up a few hours driving I am sure that helps a lot.
But we just used the instructor because it would have been all out war with me and eldest learning to drive.
Plus like someone else mentioned I would not even consider taking them on normal roads to start with without dual controls :eek:When The Fun Stops Stop0 -

Failure - soo feel for you, but believe life will get better. Like many people here, I spent far too many years wasting time with an excuse for a man, but you have to be strong. It's hard, but you can do it. Change your name today!! I am a real believer in positive talk - including how you talk to yourself! You are worth so much more.
I am married to a fantastic man (been with him 27 years) - there are plenty out there.
Take my advice- pass over the good looking ones- mine is no looker but then i won't be entering any beauty pageants myself:rotfl::rotfl:If he treats his mum well he will generally treat you well too. See how he reacts to kids...your neices and nephews. I like a man who is generous and kind to children - not a cold cookie.never stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -
I am just back from getting her tea and she had made enough for both of us so I stayed and ate with her. We had a brief chat about the money thing and I said I thought it best we just ignore them. She agreed in principle ( although I am sure they will raise the subject again.) She said my oldest sister had rung to ask what she was having for t. When she is home she cooks meat and 2 veg or fish every day but I am not a great cook and Mum has some ready meals some days and some things she cooks herself other days. My sister thinks she can micromanage things from abroad. So I jokingly said to Mum I will do a menu for the week on a Monday and send it to my sister. We both laughed. I may see if I can get a half hour with a solicitor next week to discuss.
I dont care what my Mum leaves me I just want her to live out her remaining years in peace. Even though I mentioned someone having Mum on a Sunday no one has stepped forward. What a surprise.
You know what, it might be worth sending her that menu, she might get the hint!
Your poor mum must feel like she is between a rock and a hard place, desperately wanting to please everyone.
I really feel for you having to cope with all this, but at least you can both joke about it.
At least you are the one that is storing up the best memories, they count for a lotWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
