What are the rules about that? At what point does a chaperone need to be present?
As I said, with dentistry it's 'All the time'. The rest of medical services have yet to catch up with us, and I'm not sure if there are set 'rules' yet. Just common sense and not getting caught in a situation where it's one person's word against another. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
OP
Apologies for those people on this thread who disbelieve you - mostly because they can't be bothered to read your posts properly.
I am one of those people who hates the fact that society brands every man a potential 'molester' (!!!!!phile would not be appropriate in this case) but in this instance I really do think that you should go to the police with the report of what happened in the physio room, and the later enquiring about your daughter's medical records.
It sounds like inappropriate behaviour followed by attempted fraud to me, and I would hate to think that this might be one of those 'Jimmy Savile' cases where lots more people have had the same experiences with this man, but none felt able to report it.
It sounds like the NHS is protecting its own (as they did in the Jimmy Savile case) so please, please go to the police, and let them investigate.0 -

Thanks sennypijama, we are leaving it until friday - run it past our solicitor and then, depending on her advice, report it to the police.
So if I don't post again you will know that I have taken it to the police.
thanks again everyone - if nothing else, posting here made all my muddled thoughts clearer!0 -
WOW can not believe the negativity to this thread.
I work within the NHS and I can tell you we can gain any information we want (sometimes).
It sounds to me that that guy became obsessed with your daughter, asking her to take her top off?
I would somehow go down the harassment route to be honest, as well as re writing to the relevant people a response to their rubbish reply.
Don't give up, the end of the day this has caused "your 15 yr old a lot of distress". Get me?
A solicitor can advise.
