    Best = e2Save
    OK = OSPS
    Worst = The Mobile Outlet

    I've only ever used the first two, and always had my cashback from both, but I would have to say E2Save are marginally better than OneStop as they always text me when they receive my cashback request and then text me again once it has processed.

    The cheque has always arrived within 10 days of this "processed" text from them.

    I would have no qualms about using (or recomending) E2Save in the future.

  • Cashback from E2save.
    I am still awaiting my first cheque cashback from them this was back in Aug last year, since then I received my second cashback no problems, however been on the phone with customer services at e2save several times first time they said it will be credited into my acc in 14 days it didint arrive so I phoned again this time its 30 days wait ,didnt arrive so phoned again this time 5 days it didnt arrive and finally phoned on 13/04/2007 this time they said 72hrs and it still hasnt arrived. What do I do. By the way I also wrote a letter of complaint and had no reply this was back in Dec 2006. I asked customer services regarding this they said they dont have any record of it but I have a recorded delivery proof that it was posted and signed for by e2save. What do i do

    manmade, I would give them 7 days notice to pay or inform them that you intend to persue you claim for this "debt" via Money Claim online and all assosciated costs.

    Make sure you claim is valid first. The cost of retrieving this debt will be included should you succeed.

  • Unless I've missed it somewhere it seems we could do with an updated thread on who are the best and worst companies for cashback. Of course it is quite subjective but at least it's something. Perhaos Martin could consider an article?

    I've only dealt with Mobileshop.com - but I have to say I have so far received all my cashbacks - but I'm not happy they should take three months plus to come through.

    Who does it better?

    Or worse?

    I have a 12 month contract with phones2udirect cost is £540 a year (£45 a month), reclaimable in 3 portions of £180 at 6, 9 and 12 months.

    I sent off my first claim back in Feb 07 and received a letter from them dated 12 April advising me that my "cashback claims have been rejected" as I failed to provide them with the order/invoice number in my covering letter as per their T&Cs.
    As you can imagine I am really upset - if they had contacted me or written to me earlier, I could have provided them with the invoice number within the 21 days window for claiming. It seems they have deliberately taken 6 weeks to refuse my claim so I cant get my cashback of £180.
    To make matters worse, I have now seen in the T&Cs the following "Where a Cashback is claimed in installments, claims for subsequent installments are dependent on acceptance of the previous claim."
    So, does this mean they are effectively refusing to pay me any cashback at all? In which case I will lose £540 – I simply cannot afford to do that.

    Would really appreciate any help and advise to get some/all of my cashback.

    Thank You.

    Sue, I'm really sorry to hear about your trouble with Phones2UDirect. I have posted several threads about my ongoing saga with this company on this thread

    You are in a tricky situation as you did fail to send them your order/invoice number (although it would have been on your original purchase invoice that you should have sent them, so it shouldn't have been difficult for them to get the information). This is just another example of the company being plain awkward and obstructive.

    You could always take the line that they say (in their T&Cs) that they will respond to cashback claims within 45 days - they took longer than this to respond to your claim.....so they did not obey their own T&Cs. There is also the point that their refusal to pay your cashback is entirely dependent on you not sending your invoice number in the letter and you could argue that it is unreasonable for your claim to be refused due to this, as it was on your postal invoice.

    If I were you, I would contact Citizens Advice, and try to get the free 30mins or so legal aid for someone to look over your case. You could try your local Trading Standards too.

    Whatever you do, don't just give in. This company relies on people giving up at the first hurdle. Keep us informed on what happens, and if I can help in anyway, just send a message!

    Good luck!

    Agree, still not had cashback from early Jan.

    No answer to emails or recorded letters.

    About to promise Small Claims action.

    I would happily accept a quick email from them saying sorry for the delay.
