Best and worst companies for cashabck and why

Unless I've missed it somewhere it seems we could do with an updated thread on who are the best and worst companies for cashback. Of course it is quite subjective but at least it's something. Perhaos Martin could consider an article?

I've only dealt with Mobileshop.com - but I have to say I have so far received all my cashbacks - but I'm not happy they should take three months plus to come through.

Who does it better?

Or worse?

Things haven't changed much over the last couple of years. Judging by regularly reading various threads on here the newcomers all tend to be very suspect or extremely slow in paying out whilst the established ones, The Link / CPW / E2Save / Dialaphone / OSPS fair better. They all have their problems though, but the way I read it is that a large percentage of cashback problems are down to those who have purchased, who do not fully understand what they've let themselves in for.
Cashbacks are not for the ill disciplined.

Awaiting my final cashback from the link currently !
Cashback 1 - took 18days
Cashback 2 - took 12days
Cashback 3 - 6 days so far

Thanks. As a light user of phones the cashback scheme suits me perfectly. I don't mind what hoops I have to jump through to get it as I am quite organised.

I shall be looking for a new deal later in May when my current one ends and just wondered who are the better companies now.

I have been happy with Mobileshop - but the rumours abounding regarding their future (even if they are unfounded) now makes me reluctant to go with them for another year.

I had 2 contracts with One Stop Phone Shop a couple of years ago. All cashback payments came through although one payment on each contract took ages - it was while the takeover by Carphone Warehouse was going on.

I've also just received the final payment for a contract from Mobile Express. These have all been very promptly sent - normally within a week of them receiving the claim.

Previosly had a cashabck deal from Dial-A-Phone all 4 cashbacks were recieved on time and with no hassle. Currently just finished a 12 month contract via Mobileshop 1st cashback was paid on time, still awaiting 2 cashbacks, one has just been sen aint not yet due "60 days process time", However one has been submitted over 90 days ago and no sign of any payment....
Look aroud the forum for similar problems with mobileshop...avoid them like the plaugue they are currently refusing to pay cashback over what they claim is a "technical error" with their cashback system and they do not know when they will be reusming payments.

E2Save are in theory okay, but they have a trick up their sleeve. You have to send it recorded delivery. It takes 14 days to get through their system, and they therefore will claim that they do not know when it arrives.

Therefore if you send it with ten days to go recorded delivery. Mysteriously the recorded delivery will not be recorded. They moved their cashback base, but it has now happened to me at the new location Dunstable rather than Walsall.

They then say we received it just after the cashback period, and therefore you do not get your cashback.

The lesson if you use E2Save or thephonespot (which uses the same address) not sure if the same goes for CPW, but be careful and get your envelopes prepared and send it straight away. Don't wait or you may find that you are arguing with their customer services. On the phone they said they would pay if I sent in the proof of posting but I have not got around to that yet.

You'd be daft not to sent it recorded delivery for any company !!! As long as it arrives within the specified period you will get cashback !!
The recording of mail deliveries has nothing to do with where the post goes to, it's down to the Royal Mail !! They moved their cashback base but you can still use the old address !!

I've used all of the ones in my previous post and had absolutely NO problems whatsoever. Follow the T&C's and you wont have any either. Like I said before most non-payments from the well known reputable companies are down to lazy individuals not adheering to the T&C's or simply not understanding them !

For may years now I have been defending OSPS as I have always been paid. However when it came time for my final payment in February something odd happened - Carphonewarehouse never sent me my final bill. Bad luck or a smart move in the office as someone spotted that bill was going to cost the new merged company £58?

hi guys,

i got my first cashback from the Cool New Mobiles (Phone Box Direct)(Mobile Affiliates)in like 28 days or so and i ws informed by e-mail and it was on time ....

the second cashback no been paid and it has been about 2+ months since i sent my bill for the cashback in febrary. STILL NOt RECEIVED It yet

i contacted them by any way possible phone e-mail, but no use wait for couple of weeks should be with you BUT not......

what should i do //?

when we send the bill even a day late they don't payout, BUT when they are late for months how can they get away with it,.......

This time I think I am opting for an automatic cash redemption from CPW.
