I know e2save are part of CPW but are there any other companies that are also part of CPW?

Hi Poppy9,

OneStopPhoneShop and ThePhoneSpot are also part of the CPW - I don't think there are any others.

I've had no problems with The Link. One of the reasons I went with them was because it was an established store and I trusted them slightly more than any of the others on offer (other than carphone warehouse). As someone said, you do have to be disciplined and watch what you send them - I almost missed the first cashback as my first bill was for two months and not one which confused me. Cashback times have been approximately 20 days for each cheque, and I would definitely send recorded delivery.

I have just signed with coolnewmobile for a 12 month cashback deal and would be grateful for advice as I am struggling to understand something in their terms and conditions and am trying to avoid making a mistake. It is clear that they want me to send bills after 120, 180, 240, 300 and 360 days to receive cashback. However after stating this they also state:

' This form must be correctly completed in full, and have the correct original bill attached to be valid. Failure to claim correctly within 1 calendar month of the instalment bill date will void this and all future instalments.'

My question is: 'What do they mean by within 1 calendar month of the instalment bill date'? Do I have to send them a copy of the first bill within the first month of instalment as well as five cashback claims or are they refering to the first cashback following 120 days since intalment. This may be obvious to someone else but I have to confess it is not to me.

Many thanks for any help you may be able to offer.

PS I have posted this on another thread in order to maximise exposure and apologise if you had to read it there too.

Generally cashback claims have to be submitted within a specified period of tiem from the bill date. In this case I'd read it as saying you have send in your claim within one calendar month of the date shown on the bill.

I was also happy with mobileshop, other than 3 month wait....till this month! 60 days LONG gone, no cashback and now no response to emails! Am getting very concerned! first and second vouchers acknowledged, voucher A on 9th Feb !!! Are they ever going to pay or is it gone!

I am unhappy with the responses from Mobileshop. First Cashback claim made and acknowledged April 2007 should have been paid within 60 days ie 22 June. Second claim made and acknowledged 15 May should be paid by 14 July. Nothing received as yet for both.

Emails to cashback@mobileshop.com are ignored with a standard response claiming they are having difficulties marrying up customer bank accounts, sort codes etc. Telephone calls to cashback department result in an answerphone message the same as the email. You cannot get through to a person. Customer Servicwes only repeat the advice on their emails and answerphone. The problem has apparently been running since January 2007!!

Have contacted Trading Standards who advise writing to company by Recorded Delivery saying that 'time is if essence' giving 7 days in which to pay. If nothing received take action through Small Claims procedures with hopefully ALL costs plus admin, telephone etc being claimable against company. Managing Director's name is Daniel Naylon to whom correspondence should be addressed.

Dealing with this company is NOT recommended.

If you ring them before you commit to the contract they will explain it in detail. A lot of the companies now put a number on top of the bill ie 1- 18 signifying the month so it make it a lot easier i.e. If you have to send in month 3 it is the bill numbered 3.

I've used e2save and dialaphone, I've never had any problems.

My friend did have a delay with e2save and he had to write a letter to get it sorted.. but they did sort it out in the end with a lot of apologies.

You claims are hardly overdue compared to some of us - we have contacted them and been paid what was outstanding - they state they have a back log on the web site so 22nd of june is approx 3 weeks overdue and the other is not due yet?

Many of us on here have found we got a standard response to emails and then an email saying the payment has been processed.

Im begining to think they are no worse than other companies, after trawling round looking at other companies they look a positive option
Back and on a mission:cool:

I have only ever tried E2Save and will never go near them again no matter how good the offer sounds. No cashback is worth the stress and frustration from wasting hours on wasted phone calls and letters.
I eventually got my cash back from them plus costs after taking them to the small claims court. I never received an apology or explanation for their awful service.
WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..

That was your life mate
