Spoke too soon - there were 2 available jobs which I could have done on the same day, however, by the time I had clicked on the one and accepted it, the other one had gone ! I reckon there are many people chasing a small amount of jobs

I don't know how often they are updated - perhaps one of the experienced mystery shoppers could advise us newbies ?

I've just found this thread. Just wanted to say good luck to all the newbies!
In answer to the Retail Eyes jobs - there doesn't seem to be a set time when jobs are released. You just either have to keep looking, or watch for posts on one of the mystery shopping forums where someone else has spotted the jobs are on.
Sometimes jobs have rules where you can only accept a certain number of jobs for that client. In the case of one of the clients that went on today, you can only do one shop this cycle, so once you've chosen your shop, the rest will vanish off your jobs page. Here I go again on my own....0 -

Don't mention the fees - it's against confidentiality.
The amount of tax paid depends on your circumstances and other taxable income.
Have you registered for tax self assesment? RE work on a self employed basis, so you have to keep accounts during the year, then submit a tax return after April 5th each year. Your tax liability is calculated then. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Oh ok sorry. You have to claim tax even on such a small amount?0

Yes - even if you only earn a few quid, you still have to declare it.Here I go again on my own....0
