Maximising income - Mystery Shopping? Surveys?

I signed up for Retail Eyes yesterday, checked the jobs available and I am doing one in a sort of charlie chalk (play area) on Saturday. My 5 year old is quite excited and very willing to be part of my mystery shop (although he doesn't know it is a mystery shopping visit! more of a nice treat out)

I've just had a call to say I've been accepted by Retail Eyes, so my details will be waiting for me at home. I guess I just call my tax office to get myself registered? I must admit, I hadn't considered the tax implications. I work fulltime and have a tax allowance on that - anyone know what rate I'll be taxed at for the mystery shopping? The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

Hiya wigginsmum, I am not sure but when I phoned up the tax office, they said they would send me the forms. TNS supplied me with the form and I am awaiting news off them. Grassroots said it the onus was on me so I phoned up to let them know. I work full-time, flexi so this is just a side-line too.
Mike St Helens  hope the assignment went well.
I had 2 today, one was for a bank so I went to a local cafe, had tea and toast whilst re-reading the brief. The waitress looked over my shoulder and declared "oh you are one of them". Anyway, it turned out she had worked for Dorothy Perkins and they had several mystery shoppers at the store. It was quite interesting to get her take on it and see it from her own experience. I explained it was top secret but as I left the cafe, I heard her saying "you won't guess what !"
Had a phonecall today offering me a job in Minehead, which was a 205 mile round trip, they said they were desperate and would meet my costs but with 4 kiddies and 3 kittens it just wasn't feasible.
