Maximising income - Mystery Shopping? Surveys?

I do a lot of Mystery Shopping as well, but I have outgrown the company's who don't pay mileage and parking. I am lucky enough to belong to an elite Mystery Shopping forum, where we get offered plum jobs which pay well, pay mileage and parking, one of these jobs is the same as 3 banks for Grass Roots or 6 burgers for Gapbuster. These lower paid jobs are fab for getting the newcomers into the job, you can then progress to bigger and better things.0

Hey.
Well this thread inspired me to register yesterday with Retail Eyes and Grass Roots.
I received an email from Grass Roots as soon as I registered confirming my details, but never received one from Retail Eyes.
How long do you think I will have to wait to see if I have been accepted?
Also, how do they notify you? Email, Telephone?
Same for new assignments, how do they notify you of these? Again, email/telephone?
Thanks0 -
From my very limited 2 week experience (4 mystery shops)
The one company you mentioned RE has the jobs on their internet and you can choose them from there, only 1 in my area. Grass Roots has emailed me 2 jobs and phoned me to see if I could do another one.
If I can do 2 x £10 assignments each month that is fine for me. With the one company I would have liked some feedback but was told basically no news is good news. Also, for the newbies, I thought rather than fill in the paperwork I would just key it in. I was told today that sometimes 2 weeks later they phone you for confirmation of the information you provided so make sure you have an accurate record on paper too.

I'd just like to ask that all you Mystery Shoppers do a fair and reflective assignments as I work for a company that uses one of the forementioned mystery shoppers companies which goes absolutley balistic if you get lower than 90-95%.
Does anyone else work for a place that uses these schemes or is every job now using mystery shoppers as a way of measuring their performance?"I AM THE GATEKEEPER OF MY OWN DESTINY" Nacho Libre

Don't forget that these companies do not permit naming their clients on forums etc. You can get into serious trouble with them, so some of you might want to edit your posts!

I used to work in a Bradford & Bingley, and although it wasn't related to our pay or anything, it was important for the branch audit that the mystery shop went well, otherwise we would get them more often!! Thankfully our branch always scored very high, so we had a minimum amount of visits, although when we knew they were going to happen we would be nervous as hell, always wear our badge etc etc so I suppose it made us hyper-aware of how to treat customers!!!
I have signed up on a few mystery shop websites over the weekend, and today have selected 2 jobs in my area, (£6 each, + £5 spend - so will use the £5 wisely and put it towards some school uniform for my kids!!!) 1 in the town I live in, so thats great, there was another 1 online earlier, but it disappeared, so there must be some other MS's in my area, so will have to keep a close eye out for assignments, I dithered because I was really nervous, and it was 8 miles away and only £7, now I kinda think, well that would have been a £5 in my pocket.....(minus tax etc!!!) and every penny counts, so now I will be a little less choosy!! Will have to keep an eye out for assignments where I could do a couple in a day if I have to travel!!
I am actually really very nervous, god knows how I'll feel next week when I have to go and do the actual thing!!!!
I think I will do a good job, I will be objective, and honest, which will make me feel really bad if I get terrible service, but then thats the point isn't it, to improve the customer service!!!I believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true:T September Challenge £5 per day - £0/£150 :T0 -
The ones I have done so far, I have been objective and made sure that I was being fair and not coming down too hard.
I have worked for my company for 16 years (insurance company) sending financial analysts to assorted companies to look at the in's and out's of the company and see if they are financially viable. Now I am part-time looking at companies I feel it will also help with career progression. I have done 3 visits and ideally I would love to pursue a role within my organisation within the customer services side. Mystery shopping is good because I am looking at people who have a fantastic "can do" attitude and on the flip side of the coin also looking at people who need to develop their customer care skills. For me I am finding it a great way to gain experience and come interview time I am sure it can only help.

Well I have been accepted by Retail Eyes and have my first assignment in a weeks time.
I like the ability to search the website for available assignments.
Unfortunately there was only one in my area
I wonder how often they come up?0 -
I am not sure how often they come up, and sometimes I think it can be the fastest finger first. There are none currently in my area.

Then I guess the question should be, I wonder how often they are updated0
