Does anyone know if we have to register with the tax office or is it all done for you ?
Also will it affect my normal daily job ?
This company works on a Self Employed basis, so you would have register with the Tax Office. You need to do it quickly though, or they could fine you. They are very easy to talk to and it doesn't take long.
At the end of the financial year you will need to complete a tax return HTH0 -
Hello, just read this with interest I undertook my first mystery shopping trip last week and have one booked for Saturday. They phoned today to check I was Ok to do it and I must have sounded very enthusiatic as 5 minutes later they phoned me with an offer of 3 more jobs. Unfortunately, 2 of them were in the Welsh valleys and too far to travel but the 3rd one I am doing on Friday. I am assuming that the majority of them DO NOT pay for fuel etc so I am better off sticking to local ones.
So far, I have had 3 for banks - is there any companies which just do financial MS trips and ones that do pubs etc ?
I am registered with Grassroots, just been accepted for TNS and I have applied to Optium but I have to do a dummy phone call to pass their initial assessment.

Since registering I've been offered 7 jobs, 3 I've accepted and I'm debating 2 of them because I think 4 visits to a bank in one week using a bank account I haven't used in 2 years is allot!

I get a little anoyed with grassroots sometimes cos they always give me bank ones during working hours! If I had accepted them all I'd be a lot richer!
Best ones I've had are from Retail Eyes. Pub and restaurant ones are the best cos you get a lot more than just the piddly £5.
Some tips for you newbies which I myself have only just learnt. The assignments where you have an allowance and have to produce a receipt, it's worth remembering that even tho you only have to produce a receipt for the required elements, you can claim for the additional allowance, even if it has not been spent. This was specified by a retail eyes consultant, although it might be worth checking yourself. Therefore if you have an allowance of £30 but only have to buy certain items with a value of up to £15, claim for the rest anyway. You don't have to produce a receipt for the extra £15.0 -
When I say piddly £5, I mean about getting a free meal as well!0

I registered just yesterday with Retail eye and have my 1st mystery shopper tomorrow ! Free luunch and get paid for my dinner hour !
How cool....
One a week and theres an extra £50 for a little treat.....And the management side of their website is pretty good too.
