Nelski, the rep for the American company, Dustin at NSS, has just posted on Saveit's mystery shopping forum to say that the problem with payment has been sorted & the money owed to the British company (Mystery Outsource) is on it's way, so Mystery Outsource can now pay the shoppers. Hopefully the money owed to you will be on it's way soon.0

good -dont expect me to be massively grateful though they owed the money
and for someone not involved at all you are a fantastic information resource chas :rolleyes:0 -
I was just repeating what I just read on a mystery shopping forum in the hope that the information would be good news to you Nelski.
I'm sure I read somewhere on MSE that everyone is supposed to be nice to eachother, I was simply trying to be nice to you,but have clearly failed & I will be sorry for ever & ever.0 -

I have done quite a few assignments, which require me to follow the return & refund process
I have never had to photocopy the receiptjust key the results in as normal

Saveit wrote:I agree Chas that is the simplest action but its not for any of us to speculate what is going on between the two companies, hopefully it will end in a happy situation for all concerned.
My response was to Genies post regarding the American Company being stopped from posting on two other forum. I presume this refers to Rpoints and MSuk, Genie is involved with both sites so a little unfair on the American companies behalf isn't it. The American company have not advertised work available on MSE only the outsourcing allocator and any work that was done can only be paid by that company irrespective of whether they have been paid yet by their client.
I am sure it will all end with a happy solution for all concerned.
I am a member of MSUK, and a moderator of the MS forum at RPoints. Both these facts have nothing to do with my earlier post and neither fact is a secret. I am not associated with either MS company. I have had no input into the decision of any of the MS forums as to whether or not they are allowing either company to post work available.
The point of my earlier post was really to point out that Mystery Shopping is not guaranteed income. It will not get you out of debt (though if you are lucky it may ease things a little). I only mentioned about work available posts in case it helped other people make a decision about accepting work. I thought the idea here was to help people out. Sorry I bothered.
Sour grapes anyone?0 -
I am finding Retail Maxim pays good fees at the moment.
They appear to be much better for the same kind of assignment than other companies !
I have kinda gone off the boil with MSing at the moment but still doing a few "nice" ones lol clothes shops, restaurants etc
Just being more choosy these days
Hows everyone else doing ?0 -
Nothing wrong with being choosy Rachie.
I think it happens to a lot of us mystery shoppers. When I first started many moons ago I tended to accept every job that I could. I soon learned to be a bit more discerning & nowadays I turn down more work than I accept. I think everyone learns to accept the jobs which suit them - a job which is perfect for me, might be useless to someone else. I wouldn't even think about accepting a Gap phone store job, the fee is too low, there are no expenses & I'd use most of the fee paying for petrol & parking. However, if I worked in the town centre & had a lunch hour to kill every day, I'd be happy to do them - the extra amount of money would pay for my lunch or parking.
As lots of other people have mentioned in this thread, fees are continually reducing & it seems that more & more jobs are expected to be done for a freebie only with no fee.
I think mystery shopping is a great way of earning extra money and some of the freebies are fab, but it can be hard work.0 -
by the way, my first ever job was with Retail Maxim & it was at a phone shop. It was years ago, the fee was £15 & they paid parking & petrol.0
