I've just cancelled one for today, someones called in sick at work so I have to cover for them. This means I can't leave early and I definately can't get to the assignment (20 miles away) and back in an hour. I wanted to take my dog for a walk and have fish and chips in the town of the shop - oh well! :(

still, I got 1 today and 1 at the weekend.

I've decided not to take any from BAI/BARE anymore - I got quite a snotty reply from them when I told them I had to cancel an assignment because I couldn't fit it in as it conflicted with my full-time employment because someone had rang in sick and I got a "to the point" and blunt responce.

RE, GR and Gap for me only in future!

maybe bare are not too happy as you have had to cancel last minute and this does create more work for them trying to rearrange things. i understand that you have a full time job and that has to come first so maybe it would be better to stick to weekend jobs or whatever days you dont work for your full time employer then things like this wouldnt happen. they are only trying to do their job just as you are so i cant really blame them for being blunt and to the point. personally i prefer that approach, saves time ;) and we all know where we stand.

i cant say i can complain about them. i sent them an email and they responded and were very kind.

this of course is just my opinion but i will only take a job when i know nothing other than an emergency would make me cancel it which im sure they would understand.

on another note i have also just accepted my first job with retail eyes. im desperate for an eye test so its worked out quite well. ;) also got a voucher from their website to save money on the new glasses i know i will need :)

    regards

I've only given my mobile number - that way they can contact me whenever and don't miss an offer of an assignment. I get far more assignments by telephone than ones I sign up on via email or the website.
