You have to be careful with taking your own food and drink in though, many cinemas don't allow and have even been known to confiscate items when going inThey have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

That was my view as well, really liked the first 1 and was hoping number 2 would have surpassed #1 but the opposite happened.
To see a film at the nearest VUE cinema its £8.80 for an adult, odeon is £6.70, apollo cinemas is £8(adult premier is £9.50) and cineworld is £8.90(Mon, Wed-Sun). To see a a film in 3D costs £2.60 at VUE, £3 at odeon and cineworld is £2.90.
It is getting expensive, even more annoying when the film is either crap or other people make noises from rustling packets of crisps etc.0 -
Why do people feel the need to stuff themselves with popcorn, sweets & fizzy drinks at the cinema anyway? Surely it's possible to spend a couple of hours without eating?
Nothing worse and more off-putting than the sound of rustling wrappers and listening to people eating whilst trying to watch a film.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
just got back. we're in Hull and it was £7.90 each. suppose i should be grateful its not £10+ like others have said!
didnt think it was to bad but not as good as the first.

I saw on the bbc that they are licensed as a private club so can legally stop you bringing your own food in. It's similar to taking your own food and drink into a pub. That is obviously not allowed.
Saying that I like to take a bottle of wine and a couple of glasses in with me. We call it civillised cinema:)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

According to here ODEON does not have a policy against people taking their own food into screenings as long as its not food that would smell
Cineworld said We do ask that customers don't bring in their own food and drink, just as in any location where food and drink are sold. It is important that we search bags for security and piracy prevention0 -

They just cant go without a drink/food for a couple of hours. I wonder what them same people would do if they were out in the wilderness with no food and drink.0 -
