eeeek I've ordered one - nothing ventured nothing gained! somewhat aprehensive though0

I found the key to the mooncup is to fold it in half, then half again, and use one hand to 'ready the battlefield' and the other to insert the cup. It naturally springs open again once it's in, but it's not a dignified procedure, I can tell you. Putting one foot on the toilet seat helps. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

I think i should avoid the mooncup for a while after reading the procedure...i have a fractured pelvis ....can barely sit on the toilet let alone one foot on toilet seat! lol0 -
I was a tamponist too till I had the kids and now I find they don't stay in and the kids were by c-section
.
I've considered the moon cup but I'm not comfortable about using it when out.
GR-Do the pads go back to their original colour-if you catch my drift. Maybe that's something for me to consider as I find normal sanitary towels leak. Though using the £1 off bodyform I've got a lot stacked away for the next few months.0 -

Do you get the same level of pain with this moon cup things as with tampons?
Can you go running and cycleing with it in?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
what do you mean by pain? pain on insertion, or just normal period pains. for me personally, the period pains have totally gone and this seems to be the case with alot of mooncup users
as for doing sports, perfectly fine. ive never found it moved, or leaked. the only thing is with cycling, just make sure the stump is inside you fully, else it can be a bit uncomfortable, but even just standing is uncomfortable, if you havent inserted it enough. either shorten the stem, or push it up a bit further

I've always suffered abominable period pains and the mooncup hasn't made any difference to that, unfortunately. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal.
