OK, OK, I stand with my hands up waiting for the chaps brave enough to read this far to shoot me down in flames ...
Charity shops would be a good place to look, but also if you ask in the shops which sell men's hankies at least they'll know there's a demand for ladies as well! I'm sure there are lots of grannies who still like 'proper' hankies.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Tsk
The boyf (who've I been with ages but doesn't live with me) said "What did you do with the others?"
"What others?"
"The ones you used last month"
"I soaked them in a bucket of water then washed them in the machine with the rest of my stuff when I was ready" (I have no babies and therefore no nappies etc to put them in with, and I reckon they are fine to go in with clothes after they have been soaked)
There then followed mutterings about germs etc, and hygiene, but he can go stuff himself! If he wants to wash them separately lovingly by hand then he can do so, until then they are staying in the machine.0 -
A 60' wash is hot enough to kill most bugs. That is what temperature I beleve they recommend you wash bedding at to kill bugs etc.
Tell him its just a bit of blood like when he cuts himself shaving except there is a bit more! The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0 -
I wash my bedding and towels at 60 cos of the dust mites, but my clothes at 40 because that is the best temp to get out the "biological stains" apparently such as food, blood etc (something to do with enzymes) and it is the temp I have always done underwear etc on, so he can just learn to deal with it!
Plus the vinegar and essential oils I use as a softener are antibacterial anyway...silly boy...0 -
why would your blood be any more germy than his kissing you or being intimate in other ways? men are funny things lol!52% tight0

Just remembered this and don't know if anyone has mentioned it before.
A friend bought me one of these a while back and it is absolutely superb. Go to https://www.divacup.com. We got them shipped from Canada at a very good rate and if you bear in mind exchange rates you're onto a good deal.
The jist is that it's a re-usable silicon cup that replaces sanitary products and you can carry on using it for yonks. It's also extremely comfortable and environmentally friendly compared to the alternatives. And think what you could save over the regular taxed price of sanitary products.0 -
You can also get them in the UK from here http://www.mooncup.co.uk/ Price is £17.990
